Starting at one dollar and selling with no reserve in a seven day auction is a metal model of a oil well rig. All of the joints are brazed or soldered together. It is sturdy. I see no breaks. Oil Well Pump Rig Gold or Brass Model - Very Detailed - Parts work - Needs Motor
Desk model of an oil well pump rig. It looks like it is brass. Or could have a gold wash on brass. The pump mechanism itself rotates and goes up and down, but the motor didn't work when I put new batteries in. It looks like an easy fix for someone who knows how to do it. The clear line extending from the forward part that should go on the"head" has pulled loose and been glued, but needs gluing again. There are a few nicks on the wood base. Please look at the photos closely. It is a very nicely detailed model and would be fun to have working. The box is about 8 1/2" x 4 3/4" x2" and has a sliding bottom to access the motor and location for two AA batteries(not included) The head is about 7" above desk level(including box) and goes down and up to there on each rotation. There is a plaque on the box that says"Brown#1" ... moreand I don't know if that means it was an award or the name of the rig. Sold as is. I did not attempt to clean it up and I have a feeling it will look great when it is. I have seen similar on eBay for over $200 new. PayPal only. Payment within three days of close of auction. Here we have a very nice VINTAGE item and this is a GETTY OIL- oil well pump jack the Getty logo and a flask what looks like real oil? Everything is encased in acrylic. As you move the item around the oil(or what ever it is) moves around. I think this item was from the Getty Oil refinery that once operated in Delaware City. Delaware for many years. What a great gift or a Getty collector or anyone that loves oil company items It has a black bottom and band and the main part is clear acrylic(the color you see is from my back ground) It stands 3" high-3" wide-at the base the depth is about 1 1/4"at the top it is about 1" deep. This vintage oil rig or oil derrick is from a local estate. The base measures 18" by 11" and the overall height is 25 34" The plaque on the front reads. WILDCAT" MADE ESPECIALLY FOR JOHN RANKIN. Marked on the side of the shed is the maker's name, McCraw 3 of 25 4-75. This piece is made of brass rods and various metal pieces. The detail is quite good. CONDITION: As you can see in pic. Cranes, and more carefully designed and placed pieces that make this model using only manipulated pieces of metal a true work of art. It measures 2' tall, and is 18" long and 11 3/4" wide at its furthest points. The base size is 14" long and 11" wide. It weighs approximately 25# This piece was recently removed from a small family owned museum in southwest Arkansas. It was made, and later donated by, a young man named Ricky Kennedy. I was told by the man responsible for removing everything from the museum prior to the buildings demolition that he was almost certain that the information card that accompanied this piece while it was kept in the museum stated that it was made as a school project. VINTAGE OIL ORIGINALS DESKTOP OIL RIG PUMP JACK WORKING METAL MODEL EXEC TOY
Vintage desktop model of an oil rig pump jack that pumps up and down when turned on. This high quality oil industry executive gift was made by Oil Originals. Inc. of Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1981. The oil derrick is all metal construction in a gold/brass finish, mounted to a wooden walnut base. There's a push button near the back that turns on the oil derrick, which is powered by two C-batteries(not included) that fit in a compartment underneath. This oil rig stands 8.5" tall on a 9" by 5" base, and weighs 3 lbs. It's in great shape with no noticeable cracks or missing pieces, although one of the brass connector rods is slightly bent and looks like it has been replaced. The oil rig still works, but it needs a push every now and then to make the complete turn; once started, it keeps going. Vintage Oil Well Rig/Pump Jack Gold Model - Drillbit oilfield rig bit
Up for auction is this vintage Jack Gold model oil pump/rig. As you could tell by the pics this one does not run on batteries. It has a small thin line going through the rig bit which is broke. The bit does move up and down manually as well as the pump/rig too. The wood is discolored on the sides(see pics) The pump itself is a brass type finish. I do my best to give an accurate description. I believe this was used as a sales mans sample, promotion or award. Great working condition and unique piece, needs cleaning, the front where the lines for the drill are attached looks like it was replaced/glued. the battery is taped in and I do not have the cover, if there ever was a cover. Offered for auction is this neat old vintage" WOODEN OIL FIELD DERRICK" PENDANT and CHAIN NECKLACE. Both are made of a gold colored metal material. No maker's name or other markings that we can find anywhere. Oil Derrick Pendant measures approximately 1" in height. 5/16" in width, and 1/2" in depth. The Chain Necklace measures approximately 18" in overall length(including the clasps) Condition is very good/ excellent. Shows very minor wear and soiling from use. Storage and handling, with a short 1/2" section of the Chain Necklace that appears to have been flattened by some means. No other damage that we can see. Oil Rig Well Pump Statue Figurine Or Trophy, Wood Base, Pump Works, Gold, Neat
I want to put out my disclaimers first: bought this at an auction. Don't know much about it. I know it's missing whatever the original plaque was, is unmarked, and the string is broken on the well pump. Here's what's cool about it: it's a gold oil rig well pump. The string can be easily fixed with fishing line. The pump works when you turn on the switch. And although the original plaque is missing, it means it's ready for you to add your own plaque or touch to it. A very cool piece with a little attention could be the showpiece of your man cave or office! Very cool! Please look at pictures. Like I said.
