A microprocessor in the MA 800 automatically presents a pure tone stimulus in discrete 5 dB steps. At random intervals of 2 to 4 seconds. The stimulus consists of three pulses, or if continuous tone is selected the stimulus stays on continuously for 1.2 seconds. The hearing level ranges from 0-95 dB.
