Hearing Aid Battery Tester Antique Vintage Collectable not an amp meter volts
I have had this for over 40 years and never looked close enough at it to realize this was not an amp-meter. Until now. This is a Hearing aid battery tester. It has the name HAL HEN on it. I assume this is the brand name of it. I know absolutely nothing about hearing aid battery testers. I could not tell you if it works or not as I do not know how to check it. All I know is that it is old. The case has a few dings and scratches in it. When you shake it, the hand moves, so it is free. It has the word Volts on it, so I would say it measures in volts. The aluminum back plate rotates around. Don't ask me why, as I do not know. This is truly a collectors item. Look at the pictures as they can give a better description then I can. Thanks for looking.

I believe this unit to be in good working condition! But i am not an expert and will accept returns if unsatisfactory. Unit powers up and all the functions and features seem to work as far as i can tell. Headphones working well. Case in good shape. Power supply working. Amazingly the battery is holding a string charge! I charged it over night like 2 or 3 months ago and the power meter is still in the green! Could probably use calibration if there is such a thing available for this unit. But overall it appears to be good2go! Comes as is as you see it in the pics built into the case with headphones and attached power supply only. Will accept returns. Must come back in the same condition as it was delivered. You are bidding on an American 86AR Tympanometer with Maico headphones. I have no paper to test the unit beyond powering it on. The heat pen does move when turned on. Also gets hot. I did get a ping in both the right and left ear when powering it on, but it appears the unit will not function without the paper installed, the roller keeps moving. The red and green light does turn on when powering on and then goes to red as the paper roller is turning. I do not know if it just needs paper or if there is something wrong with the unit. The fine item you are considering is a Vintage Antique Large Beltone Model 14A Audiometer Hearing Tester Test Unit. I have lots of photos below. So be sure to scroll down to the bottom of this page to take a better look. This interesting device is actually a vintage Beltone audiometer for testing hearing, and it looks like it was manufactured in perhaps the 1950‘s or 1960‘s. This large desktop unit measures 21 1/2” by 13” by 14” and has all the original knobs and switches, with everything turning freely as it should be. The power cord is still attached to the back of the unit, but the actual prong section is missing from the cord, so it may have been’hard-wired” at one point. In any event, I have no way to test the unit, so I’m selling it“as is” as a collectable. The unit makes a great impression, with some staining on top from cups and such, ... morebut still looks very nice.
