Large Old Heavy Duty Antique Copper Knife Switch on Board w/9 Extra Terminals
For your consideration is this large old antique knife switch. This one comes on a large back board that measures 10x37" I'm not sure of it's original application but at the top of the board there are a series of 9 additional wire terminal hook-ups. This is an extra large. Heavy duty switch. The whole thing measures about 9 1/2" square without the handle. The knives alone are 1 3/4" wide and 1/4" thick. It would be great for any number of industrial. Steampunk projects that require that thick, chunky look. Everything remains in very nice. Solid condition with some barn find dirt and age and use appropriate wear. Nothing that detracts. This is one of 2 of these switches I currently have on ebay. Large 2 Pole Signal Corps Knife Switch
For sale. A Signal Corps 2 pole knife switch big enough to look like something Dr. Frankenstein would power up his laboratory with. The dimensions are 4" high with switch fully open or closed, and the base is 4x6" and the knob will add almost 2" in length when reversed from the tucked in position as it is in the pics for packing purposes. Absolutely not meant to have AC line voltage connected to with all the exposed connectors but it is listed as an antenna switch. The original box is too worn to ship in and is 7W x 10L x 6H. The switch is a single pole, double throw model. It is new old stock.never used. It is in great condition, as pretty as the day it was made! Until it was washed; it still had the original $1.89 price, written in grease pencil, on the side. The switch is marked Levition, on the bakelite handle. Cast into the top is: 25A 125V, Leviton, and Made in USA. Embossed on the bottom is the number 9914. The switch is in excellent vintage condition. It has no signs of corrosion, rust, wear, or chips, and cracks. The set screws are still shiny, and bright. Up for auction is a vintage dual knife switch. Its 30amp\125volt and made by the T.E.M Company. It looks to be made of brass on a porcelain base. Part of the porcelain base has been chipped as you can see in the attached pictures. I've never seen a knife switch like this and would appear to be very rare. This would be an awesome addition to any collector out there or used for a steampunk project!
