I was a thru-hiker on the Appalachian Trail in 2003. I hiked the entire trail with the Osprey Aether. Loved it! When I finished the trail I called Osprey about repairing a small tear in the pack and instead they just sent me a new pack! Well. When I got home, I soon met my wife, we had 3 kids and. I'm selling my Black Diamond Shadow L45 backpack. It is a alpine and ice climbing internal frame backpack geared towards the fast-and-light approach. I used it for one season daily for a variety of pure ice routes and for one alpine ascent. The pack does show signs of use with a couple of discolorations present. There is one abrasion about six inches above the pack name which should be depicted in the pictures I have included. The only other notable defect is a hole in the black kevlar-like material. This hole doesn't penetrate into gray fabric of the pack itself. So the waterproofing is still intact. Overall, the pack is in great shape and has many years of life left in it. My postal scale shows it weighing at 2250g which is just under 5 lbs. Advertised weight is 5 lb 2 oz. A quick tape measure shows this to be about 26 inches long.
