Decora Paint Pressure Pot Vintage? Brass,Aluminum and steel. Steampunk
This is a Emeryville Decora paint pressure pot. I think it is a 2 gallon pot but I do not know. The regulator is made out of steel. Brass and maybe copper. The bolts and wing nuts that hold the lid on are made of brass. The lid and the handle are made of aluminum and the tank is steel. The inside of the pot looks good and the bottom looks ok too. I know it's a little crusty on the outside but I think it could be made to work. I think this would make a good steampunk part but If I was going to use it for steam punk I would only use the lid. Vintage Devilbiss Paint Pressure pot: I've cleaned most of the accumulated paint from this pot. Exterior pot is in very nice condition with a couple of bends(shown) in the lower rim(not in the pot but lower ring) The interior has some rust, the cover is solid. The seal is hard and there is a crack in the gage face. I have not applied pressure to the pot and cannot speak to the gage, regulator, or relief valve function.
