You are looking at a Marpat digital main field pack. This is a very well made pack that was made expressly for the Department of Navy and The United States Marine Corps. The bag can hold just about all that you can put in the main compartment and the main compartment can be accessed from the top or from the zipper on both sides. When you lay the backpack down it is almost like a duffel bag. There are straps and places to put everything from your bed roll to your frag grenades and pots and pans. This is a very cool pack that would last a lifetime. The length of the pack is 24 inches and the width is 14 inches. That is with nothing in it. Dana Design ArcLight Glacier Internal Frame Backpack - Size M/L - Nice Condition
I purchased this Dana Design pack back in 1996 and have kept the pack in good condition. This pack has been on a couple dozen backpacking trips over the years but still has a lot of life left in it. Marmot still offers a full lifetime warranty on these packs. This is the real deal and was made in Bozeman Montana and not in Mexico like the later models. The frame is sized M/L(18"21" back) and the belt is sized M(30" 36" waist) I am 6' 2" 180lbs(or at least I was back in 1996) and found the pack to be incredibly comfortable for loads in the 40 to 50lb range. All of the buckles and straps are in order. There are no rips or tears in the back. There are three or four small sap marks on the bag that do not want to come clean but otherwise the bag looks pretty good. The bag has been stored in a plastic tote for the past ... moreseveral years and is from a pet and smoke free home. The bag has taken on the smell of plastic as it has sat in the container for some time but I am sure that will go away now that it is not stored in the plastic container.
