This Flux Capacitor replica prop was created in 1998 and is being sold as is. It can be powered off of a 12v power source(not included) This unit did not function when last tested. This older prop is an artist's interpretation of the screen used prop during a time when fuzzy VHS tape was all that there was to look at for reference. Please note there is no plexiglass in the window. The flux capacitor board electronics are shown in the photos for reference although I do not know what is wrong nor how to fix them. The flux board has been freed from its former position held in place previously by silicon caulk as shown in the photos. Again this is sold as is to make room in our time cave. The wire still weighs a little over 25lbs. with the spool. So I know I didn't use more than one or two lbs. off of this spool. Stanton, ADC, B& 0, Pickering, Audio Technica, Ortofon and Signet among them) Now that I've retired, it's clear that I've pretty much settled on my Signet TK7E as my cartridge of choice(I have several) so I'm thinning out my collection. Up for auction is a very rare Astatic 2500 MF H2 Moving Flux cartridge with headshell. Astatic has been an innovative pioneer in audio sound since the 1930s. Moving Flux technology provides high efficiency from a simplified electromagnetic conversion mechanism leading to flat frequency response from lower conductance while retaining a high output voltage. The 2500 MF H2 was the top of Astatic's 2500 series of moving flux cartridges. Its solid Line Contact diamond. Tracking range of 0.25- 1.5 grams, and frequency ... moreresponse from 10- 40,000Hz makes it a worthy match to many of the classic Stanton, Shure and Audio Technica cartridges that characterized the heyday of analog stereo during the 1970s- 80s.
