Electric Heater for Vickers gun– In order to prevent the oil from gumming due to the low temperature at high altitudes. The lock of the Vickers gun is kept warm by two small electric heating elements attached to the inside of the side plates. This is a vintage Fan-Glo model 196K-2 electric heater. It has light wear from age but is still in excellent working condition. It can be operated with or without the fan. Which runs smoothly. The original owner put labels below the 2 switches so he would know which operated the fan/heat coil& which operated the radiant only heat coil. You can have both coils on at the same time with the fan running. It was tested. It heats up very quick& puts out a lot of heat. It did have that dusty electric smell but I'm sure that will go away after some use.
