2 Dexter Russell knives S140-12W roast slicer & S145-10 French chef w oak board
These are really neat. These are 2 Dexter Russell Sani-Safe knives with high carbon stainless blades and white plastic handles. One is a roast slicer. S140-12W and the other a French chef's knife, S145-10. They hang on their own oak board. Marked 299 CA and 303 CA which is what's etched on the knives themselves. These knives are from the prison in Chillocothe, MO and the CA stands for Culinary Arts. The prison had a program which taught cooking to prisoners and at the end of each session all knives had to be displayed on their proper board. That way guards could tell at a glance all knives were accounted for and none taken out of the kitchen to be used as weapons. I bet the board was made in the wood working class. Great knives and a great history.

Vintage Pair of Linoleum Knives / Cutters - one marked Dexter 6 1/4" & 7 1/2"
Here are 2 great vintage Linoleum Knife Cutters with their original wood handle. I found this among my Grandfather's tools and he was a Building Contractor in Iowa from 1917- 1960s when he retired. I've been holding on to this stuff for over 20 years. But figured it was time to start selling them off. Since I don't know anything about tools, I will do my best to describe things properly. The smaller knife is 6 1/4" long and has Dexter Southbridge Mass on the blade. The other is 7 1/2" long and I couldn't find a mark. Ther e is some rust/ dirt on both but I was afraid to try and clean them too much(wasn't sure what to use) and mess it up so I will leave that to the buyer. Offered for purchase TWO Wallpaper Knives. The upper one is a C S Osborne. The lower one is a Dexter, and they weigh 3 1/2 oz unboxed. These are in used but good shape and were not cleaned. Note these are straight, any bending you see is because of camera lens distortion. The Osborne has some scuffing from being sharpening and a few light spots of patina. Excellent set of 2 vintage Dexter knives. Both need a sharpening but very solid and no pitting or rust or stains on any of the blades. Very true and handles are very solid. Large chef's knife with white handle has an 11 1/2" blade and measures 16 1/2" overall. I think with a little work you could clean away the tarnish. The display is 37 by 25 inches.
