Offered here today is a pair of tin hoosier-type cabinet flour and sugar bins. I purchased these about 10 years ago when I was in the antique restoration business. I have over 20 different flour or sugar bins. Some new, some old. These appear to be NOS(new old stock) and have never been used. There are some scratches from moving around, and the tin on the inside has areas where it has darkened. But overall, they are in great shape. Perfect for your Hoosier restoration project. Up for consideration a vintage metal flour bin. It measures 15- 3/4" wide x 13-3/8" deep x 10" tall with the sifter bottom. And 7" tall in the back. This does have a ding or two in it. Vintage Tin Industrial Commercial Flour Sifter with Glass window
Here is a great piece of commercial baking history. Used for sifting large amounts of flour. The window allows you to see how low your supply is getting. This has a wonderful patina, and it looks like maybe it was one of several in a row, as the face was painted, years ago, but the sides and top are not. Up for auction is an antique tin flour bin for a hoosier or sellers cabinet. The handle turns easily to sift the flour. The brackets to attach to the cabinet are there. The top is bent a little but looks like it just sits on the top and fits into the groove. There are some scratches. Paint loss, small dings and surface rust from years of use. The top ring is starting to seperate on one corner. The screen for sifting is in good condition. The glass in front is still in tack and is good. Vintage Androck Flour Sifter Floral Pattern Red Wooden Squeeze Handle Nice! Description Vintage Flour Sifter This sifter is in very good condition. It is marked Androck Hand-i-Sift Made in USA. It is a squeeze handle design and works perfectly. The screens are intact with no holes. The inside is suprisingly free of rust. There is the expected wear to the paint and the handle. There is a small dent on the bottom edge. This is a vintage item and is sold"as is" It measures 7 1/2" across including the handle. 5" without the handle and 5 1/2" tall. Vintage flour sifter Foley sift chine pattern pull handle scoup front unpainted
Foley pattern without Foley name or paint. Very unusual. Mechanism works great. 6" tall at highest point by 5" diameter. Very well made thick metal. No dents. Very minor rust dot on handle. Nice to find one without paint.

Up for auction is a not only RARE. But extremely RARE flower sifter, do your own research and you will see what I am talking about! This is a nickeloid victor extra heavy flour sifter in very nice condition! They just don't show up at auction or for sale. Once in a blue moon maybe! All of the wood is in great condition. There are no problems with this piece at all, it works fine! There is one small indentation by the V in Victor but you have to look close to see it! I have owned it long enough. In 1919 construction began on the mill at rail side in downtown Crete. By 1921 the flour mill was completed and in operation. In 1929 a feed mill was constructed, a corn mill built in 1936, and another large feed mill added in 1949. In 1953 the Crete Mills were purchased by the Lauhoff Grain Company of Danville. Illinois. THIS IS A WONDERFUL OLD FLOUR SIFTER WITH THREE RED TULIPS ON BOTH SIDES. THE PAINT IS A CREAM COLOR AND THE RED PAINT ON HANDLE IS ALMOST GONE. IT IS A TRIPLE SCREEN SHAKER AND IT WORKS GREAT- VERY SMOOTH. I HAVE NOT CLEANED THIS. THERE ARE A COUPLE SPOTS WHERE CREAM PAINT IS GONE- NOT BIG AND A TEENY DENT.
