It is in excellent condition and may never have been used(observe the lack of wear to any of the stickers) But is sold as used since we can't be sure. The cable has some styrofoam on it from the box that it came in. Listing is for meter and probe only, with no battery or calibration solutions. Prior to listing. It was tested with three different electrolytes. We observed readings of 5.4uS/cm with supermarket grade distilled water, 12.mS/cm with tap water and 10.8mS/cm with a solution of table salt in water. Given that the beakers were previously rinsed with tap water and left to air dry, we are confident that the meter is functioning correctly, though it will, of course, need calibration, per the instruction manual. It is unable to get the detector to recognize an attached conductivity cell contained within the DS3 stabilization unit. We also notice that the screen takes about 20-30 seconds to engage properly when the unit is cold. At first it looks as though the screen is unresponsive and then the backlit LED's engage and the home menu displays. One time it took a single rebooting of the unit before the lights kicked in.
