Rare Bamboo Tea Cannister Rebulic Period (1912-1949)
This is a beautiful example of a Very Rare carved Bamboo Tea Canister made at the end of the Qin Dynasty or the early Republic Period but most likely in the Republic Period. It is well made unique item carved to resemble a Chinese Vase. The carving depicts farm yard scene with chickens. Rocks, trees and foliage. The details are exquisite. It is an unsigned piece. There is one small surface age crack that does not go all the through the body. The natural polish is excellent. Very few examples of this type of bamboo container exist. This was probably made for home use and not for public sale.

I have a Harrods Knightsbridge English Purple Thistle Flowered Cheese lidded ceramic crock. The crock and lid are in excellent condition with no cracks. Chips or stains. On the bottom of the crock is a tiny bit of remaining staining. I believe a little bit of rust. I think it can be removed with a touch of bleach. It can be seen in my picture of the bottom of the crock. The purple thistle design and the gold trim look perfect. The crock measures 4” to the top of the jar and 7” to the top of the jar with the lid on. It measures 3 ¼” across opening of the jar. The Harrods logo is underneath the jar. Up for your consideration is a vintage set of tin cannisters by Maid of Honor. The larger one in the middle is for sugar. And the other two are for coffee and tea. It was a bit difficult to take photos without reflections and flash/light glares so I did one frontal view without the camera flash and another with it. The sugar tin measures about 9x6x5; the coffee and tea tins both measure about 4 1/2x6x5. All three are made of tin with plastic handles on the tops. All together they weigh about 2 pounds 10 ounces before packing for shipment. There are minimal signs of wear(marks/scratches) on most all sides and yellowed"made in the USA" labels on the bottom of all. Vintage 1950s Red Grapes& Apple Metal Kitchen Cannister This pretty cannister dates to the 1950s. When red was a favorite color used to decorated kitchens. This cannister is decorated with red grapes and an apple, with grape leaf and vines on a white background. The design really has lovely detail work and color shading on it, but this is difficult to capture completely in the photos because of the shine of the surface. The piece measures 6" tall and about 4" in diameter. It is in very nice condition- the design is very bright and complete, with just a couple very tiny scratches that can't even be seen when it is displayed. The only spot with a more noticeable condition issue is a small scratched area on the lid(picture 4) When I displayed the cannister I simply turned this scratch to the back and it wasn't noticeable. ... moreThe can is quite clean inside, with just a few small rust speckles and a bit of loss of the tinning. picture 5) There is virtually no yellowing to the white painted areas, except for the band directly under the lid, which can't be seen with the lid in place anyway. My mom inherited from her mom. As a teenager from the early 50's I remember it sitting on the kitchen counter full of flour. Vintage Mushroom Cookie Jar (Cannister) - Sears Roebuck
Up for grabs is a vintage mushroom cookie jar. Part of a themed Sears-Roebuck kitchen set. This appears to be late 70s, but I can't be accurate on the date. This one is in great condition; no cracks or crazing were found. There is are two flaws that we've found. A few small chips on the rim of the jar, on the inside. The other issue is a paint chip on the lid. The jar measures 7 3/4 inches high from the bottom to the rim, 11 1/2 inches from the bottom to the top of the lid's log finial. Cannister shot recovered from civil war battlefield
I got this cannister shot from Stanley Phillips of Lanham MD. In 1971, a noted civil war historian and relic collector. He recovered it from the battlefield of Melvern Hill VA. It is rusty and pitted after those many years in the ground and is 1 3/4 inches in diameter. For some reason, the photograh would not copy to this ad. Contact me for a picture.

This gorgeous item is of Asian sorts. Im unsure if it is Chinese or Japanese but I suspect Chinese, It feels like Pewter with a Bronze wash but i am not an expert so thats just my best guess. Its approx. 8 inches tall and 5 inches wide, Top is a cap that slides off, cannister clean and empty inside. This set belonged to my grandmother. The set is festooned with small flowers in pink. Yellow and blue- each with three green leaves around it. The edges of each piece are accented with brown and the surfaces of each piece are kind of wicker in texture. Inside of sugar bowl planter is about 2" long, 1 1/2" wide, and 2 1/8" deep. Creamer watering cannister is 6" long from handle to watering end, 2 7/8" wide, and 3 1/4" tall at highest point.
