CLOISONNE BOX & TRAY SET Cannister with matching DISH Japanese? no marks
This is a cloisonne cannister and tray set. It is has a large expanse of black without a diaper and borders of red and yellow flowers with green leaves and a center motif of the same pattern on the top. The box is 3 inches tall and 3 inches high. The top is almost flat with a copper border around it and a small half circle diaper around the bottom rim. There are a few chips but the difficult issue is that it is scuffed. There are no marks so we are guessing Japanese because they started the work without diaper. Questions and expertise are welcome. It is a well made piece with thick walls and a faceted form. the total height is 5 inches. The widest diameter is approximately 2 7/8 inches. There are a few tiny bubbles visible in the glass from in the making. It is in great condition. The top edge of the stopper has a teenie scrape that is hardly worth mentioning. Civil War Cannister(case shot) artillery shell
Civil War anti-personnel cannister shell. Only a portion of the shell remains. it was recovered in water and the iron case shot have fused together.Its very solid and heavy. This was the"up close and personal" shell that was fired from 12 pounder cannons at very close range.scattering iron balls in a wide pattern similar to a shotgun blast. A very scary weapon. The bottom has the remains of an iron plate or portion of the artillery shell.It appears the shell did not fully detonate before hitting the water.No telling if it was a Confederate or Union shell. PAIR OF CONTEMPORARY TURQUOISE POTTERY SWIRL DESIGN CANNISTER AND TRAY
This is a nice set. There is a cannister type cylinder that is too big to drink from. But would be perfect for a group of cooking utensils or a vase or whatever. Sweet peas would be great. Or roses also. It is 5 1/2" high and 4 1/2" wide. It has a lovely swirl design embellished with small droplets. The matching tray is interesting as it has four small coin-shaped feet on it to hold it above your shelf. The tray is 6" square and could be used or placed on a small easel(included) as an art plate. They are not the same exact color. But are both glazed in a medium turquoise with raised swirls. I am happy to combine shipping.

This cannister has been used as a cookie jar for the last 40yrs. The metal lid. And holder are both showin g its age. But are in remarkably good shape. There are a couple rough edges on the inside of the glass opening, but have been there from the beginnin g. And no one has been cut or scratched by them. I bought at a garage sale over 40yrs ago. And have finally decided to downsize by abundance of antiques. The jar itself stands 9" high. And little over 8" at widest, and 6 1/2" a cross. The stand raises a little over 2" onto the h eight. For your consideration. A vintage square glass jar by Northwestern Glass Co. out of Seattle, WA filled with vintage and antique wood spools. There are 33 spools of varrious sizes in this jar.all are wood. Two of these have the label or brand printed directly into the wood.others have paper labels or no labels at all. The jar has NW on the bottom it is embossed or raised. The numbers on the bottom are 316. The jar is in excellent condition with no chips or nicks. Etc. The lid is in good condition with only a few small rust places. It does look like someone over the years has painted the lid a light green color.it looks white underneath, but I have no way of knowing what is under the paint on the lid. Really nice vintage cannister set- Original Arnart Creations- Italia- Made in Japan. In very good condition. All original stickers on bottoms. No chips, a barely noticable hairline crack as shown in photo# 10, and some barely visible crazing. This was in my Grandmother's kitchen for as long as I can remember, then packed away for some time. My guess would be that it is from the 50's or 60's. The flour cannister is about 10 inches tall with lid and 5 1/2 inches wide at the base. The sugar cannister is 8 inches high with lid, and 4 1/2 inches wide at the base. The coffee cannister is 7 inches high with lid, and 3 1/2 inches wide at the base. The tea cannister is 5 1/2 inches tall with lid, and 3 1/4 inches wide at the base. Sold as-is.

Large Pier One Mandarin Cannister. This is a discontinued item in beautiful condition. There are no chips or dings and the rubber gasket for the lid is still supple and still in place. This cannister was used very little and has spent most of its life in storage. The large cannister is hard to find and this one is a great piece. On Mar-25-13 at 08:45:54 PDT. ANTIQUE HAND BLOWN GLASS DISPLAY CANNISTER
What a spectacular glass display canister. This is all hand blown glass and really very old. You can see the broken pontil on the bottom of the canister and on the top handle of lid. It stands 12" tall and the circumference is right around 6" This piece is in MINT condition with no chipping or cracking at all. The lid and the canister both have some really nice air bubbles. The craftsman really new what he was doing. This canister has been around a very long time and an antique that anyone would enjoy. I have some people ask me about why my shipping is so high. Well North Carolina is on the east coast and alot of my stuff has to go across country. But what ever the postage is once the post office tags it. Is what I charge the customer.
