Bridgeport Vertical Mill 1 HP milling Machine 9 x 42 table knee mill No Reserve!
This is a used Bridgeport 1 HP vertical milling machine. This machine is working just fine but has a bit of slop in the ways. Power feed does not work. Works great for many applications. when i need accurate milling I dont use this machine. Quill is a tight and does not return automatically. I haven't used the quill feed in 15 years and don't know how. So i don't know if it works. Machine is sold"as is" and is local pick up only. I have a forklift and can load on your truck or trailer from the ground or from a dock. This machine will not go into back gear. I dont know why and dont have time to work on it. This auction is for the Bridgeport j-head milling machine as seen in the pictures(the cast iron table is in another listing) This Bridgeport was removed from power about a month ago and was sold because it was seldom used. It is a 3 phase machine and I currently do not have 3 phase power. Feel free to ask any questions you may have but keep in mind I am only a hobby machinist. Please look at the pictures carefully. This is a solid machine and it does have some table marks. It is about 60 years old. Back when they actually made something to last. I am located a little over an hour north of Nashville Tennessee. Lot of machine handles mill lathe drill press cabinet Bridgeport Hardinge style
Up for sale is a group of used machine handles. The longest one with the ribbed knob may be a Bridgeport style quill handle. It has a 1" hole in a 1.75" OD ring with a 3/16" drive pin in the one face. We no longer have a Bridgeport here to check it on so I leave the determination up to the buyer on this one. Also included is a straight handle about 6" long on a 3/8" shaft. Threaded on the exposed end with a 1 3/8" ball on the other end. Not sure what it was off of, perhaps an old Clausing or Powermatic drill press? Last item looks like a cabinet lock handle. It has a 5/16" square opening in the end that secures with a setscrew.
