Here is a steel double sided advertising sign I picked up in Kansas last month on a picking trip along the original Route 66. This sign was from a business that was located on Route 66 in Riverton. If you collect Route 66 signage this is a cheap way to add to your collection. I believe it is a 1940's to 1950's sign. As it has the old style five number phone number. It is not porcelain. It measures 23 inches wide by 30 inches tall. One side has some wear on it. And the other side is in good condition for its age. I belive the Bayco Company was a real estate or construction company. My auction features this beautiful sturdy and heavy 1940's? BAYCO urn shaped California art pottery flower vase in a mellow sky blue color in a satin or matte glaze. There is light variations in color under the glaze where the handles meets the body of the vase. photo 10) There are approx. 12 pinpoint pottery pops on the outside of the body. Can see 2 of them 12:00.photo 10) There are also 2 large pottery pops.one on the inside and 1 on the base of the vase) Photo 5& 8 at 9:00& 3:00. In photo 7 there is an abnormality on the rim. One looks like a chip and the other looks like a shave which was glazed over in production. There is light crazing starting on the inside of the vase. Which did not show up in photos.
