This auction is for a very rare H.R Sedgwick built bamboo fly rod in excellent condition. This three piece. Two tip, split cane rod is 7 1/2 ft long and casts a 4 wt line beautifully. This is only the second Sedgwick that I have ever seen. According to the previous owner it was refinished by Orvis some years ago. Cap and ring over all cork reel seat- cap is stamped H.R. SEDGWICK MAKER HARTFORD CONN. Red wraps tipped Green with full intermediates- see photos. Cork handle is in excellent condition. This is a rare opportunity to obtain one of this highly regarded Connecticut builders rods. Rod action is extremely Payne like- very smooth and sweet. This lot contains 3 Bass Pro Shops Bionic Blade 6'6" 50 million modulus spinning rods. All of these rods need minor repair ard are sold as is. Please look at the pictures and ask questions if necessary. I will do my best to describe the condition of the rods. Rod#1: Model: BCB66HS 6'6" 3/8-1 oz. 10-20 lb. Heavy Power. Fast Action. This rod is just missing the insert on the tip. Otherwise, it looks pretty much brand new. Rod#2: Model: BCB66MS 6'6" 1/8-1/2 oz. 4-12 lb. Medium Power. Fast Action. This rod has had the tip replaced with a tip that does not match and should be replaced(see photo) The rubber on the handle also has a slice in it(see other photo) There are a few scratches on the blank, one pretty big one, see photo. Rod#3: Model: BXB66MS 6'6" 1/8-1/2 oz. 4-12 lb. Medium Power. Fast Action. The second ... moreguide from the bottom is bent and missing the insert. There are some scuffs on a couple of the guide wraps(see photos) and the blank has a few scratches. Please note that these rods are sold AS IS. I tested all of the reel seats and all are working. I didn’t know how I would like the Raptorskin finish but after using it. I wish they still made it. It is even prettier in the sunlight. People stop me on the dock to look at it. It doesn’t get hot from the black flecks and doesn’t reflect from the gold& silver/blue flecks. Even though this reel doesn’t have a mark on it, the other one I’m keeping has more use and you cannot see minor wear and scratches on the surface like a solid color reel.
