It fits inside the base. The lid has a black plastic top handle which can be turned to open or close 2 air holes on the top. Up for auction is G-Loomis Fly Rod FR 903 GL4 7'6" 3 Line 2 PC. Rod is great condition and appears to be hardly used. There is not a mark on the green blank. Only surface scratches on the epoxy near the grip and a small amount of paint missing on the threading(very minor) of the reel set as shown in the pics. The rod comes with the original felt cover and hard shell case. Priced less to sell. They are in good Survivor condition with a few knicks and scratches from use. It was installed on a 1977 CyclePro Foiler back in the 80's. And has been in storage on the bike for the past 30 years.
