Up for auction is this vintage Bamboo Fly Fishing Rod! It is 8' in length and has three sections. The reel section is 32 1/2" long. The middle section is 32 1/2" long, and the tip section is 32 1/2" long, and does have a very slight bow to it(less than 1/2" There are only a few distinguishing marks or writings on the rod, the first being the Patent#1624052 on the rod attaching rings, and the other being the name"Louis Phillips" hand written on the first section, and Minturn, Colo. below it, see picture#5. All the wrappings and eyelets seem to be in good shape and original to the rod! This rod was purchased at an estate auction of an avid fisherman(18-24 rods for sale) in Boulder, CO. Because of the name and town being hand written, I'm assuming but not guaranteeing that it was custom made! The storage ... morerack comes with it(has cloth ties) but there is no canvas storage bag! The bottom of each piece bears Frank Smith's maker's mark. As well as"925/1000" indicating sterling silver purity and a product number of"1131" These pieces have a classical form. With ribbed lines flowing half-way up each piece. The teapot has a wooden handle and finial. The interior of the creamer has a light gold wash. VINTAGE CRUDE 12 3/4 TALL OLIVE GREEN 3 PIECE MOLD WITH SAND PONTIL. LIP IS VERY CRUDE LOOKING. THE NECK IS A LITTLE CROOKED, A VERY NICE BOTTLE. Since typical three-piece mold bottles were made for close to a century(1821 through the 1910s) other diagnostic features unrelated to the body seams must usually be used. One exception. As noted above, is that the earliest three-piece mold bottles(1821 to about 1840) will have the vertical side mold seams ending at the base of the neck since the neck was not molded, I AM NOT AN EXPERT ON BOTTLES AT ALL ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE ASK, I GOT THE ABOVE INFORMATION OFF OF A SITE CALLED BODY AND MOLD SEAMS. Fabulous h/m solid silver Art Deco 3-piece teaset, Walker & Hall, Sheffield 1934
Listed here is a wonderful solid silver teaset comprising a teapot. Sugar bowl and milk jug. It was made by Walker and Hall in 1934 and carries a full set of hallmarks for Sheffield 1934. The geometric Art Deco decoration on the sides of all three pieces is really quite striking and very reminiscent of that period. Maximum dimensions are teapot 14cm high x 24 wide; milk jug 7.5cm high x 12cm wide; sugar bowl 6.25cm high x 9cm wide. The set has a gross weight of 31.23ounces/ 888grams. It is in wonderful condition with no dents, splits or restoration and the hinged lid of the teapot is firm and shows little use. The set just needs a good clean. Up for auction is a beautiful vintage 3 piece Heddon fly fishing rod. Has a great vintage look. It measures about 101" inches or 8' ft 5" inches long when assembled. The rod is made out of split bamboo with a cork handle(both of which. Are in great condition) At the base of the rod, next to the handle, is written" Heddon#13" This lot includes a three piece fly rod. A cloth sleeve( to protect the rod inside the case) and an aluminum tube hard case. The aluminum case measures about 39" inches by 1 5/8" inches. The case is in good condition with some wear and is most likely the reason the rod is in such nice condition after all these years.
