I am sure many of the buyers of units that don't show the unit passing all the normalizations tests know just how dissapointing equipment like that is when they paid over a 1000$ for the unit! Tektronix changed something with the 2710 models over previous models it now by doing such tests provides a very accurate assessment of the unit automatically by doing a minor recalibrating of itself so you don't have to trained in how to test these units to know the condition. If you ever want to see what condition your 2710 is in let it warm up properly then go to the utility menu(by pressing Util button) and select normalizations(selection button 3) then select all normalizations(selection button 0) if your unit passes all normalizations then it is in pretty good shape but to find any sections that fail this type of test you select the service normalization section of the menu and it will display for each section what failed or passed. It is not grossly out of calibration and could be used as is. At 900MHz at 0.0dBm on a calibrated R&S SMT-02 the analyzer marker reads about 2 KHz low and 1.2 dB lower than expected. This analyzer was carried by a radio technician and has more dings and bumps than average. Note the ding in the plastic below the knob area. The combination of the YC350 touch screen control unit. YBT250 RF analyzer, and YBA250 antenna analyzer allows a wide range of capabilities. The YBT250 has a spectrum analyzer covering the band from 25 to 2500 Mhz with a span width of 10KHz to full band. There is also a spectrogram that shows signal concentration over time to help in locating intermittent signals. The YBT250 also has a peaking feature that allows you to peak a signal with a visual signal level bar. Spectrum display and audio signal beep. The YB250 also has measurement capability for a signal carrier and for cellular phone systems. The YBA250 module allows antenna measurement capability. There is a VSWR mode. Tektronix RARE TM 504 Opt 7 for TR 502, 7L12 7L13 and 7L14 Spectrum Analyzer
RARE Tektronix TM 504 Opt 7 for Tracking Generator in not the best shape. I bought this unit a few years ago from an estate along with some other nice Tek gear and it sustained some shipping damage in transit compliments of UPS. Fortunately the damage appears to be cosmetic in nature. I tested it with a Tek DC 502 Opt 7 Counter and the counter worked fine in it. I wasn't able to test the compartments dedicated for use to a TR502 or TR503 because the TR502 that came in the same shipment was damaged beyond functionality. Opt 7 allows a DC 508A or DC 502 also with option 7 to talk to and work with the Tracking Generator through the TM504. There are 3 dedicated slots. The middle 2 are for the tracking generator. Also the high power compartment tang at the top of the slot was broken off. See in the pic. But this looks like it could be replaced ... morepretty easy by removing the top skin from the TM504. I did not check the high power slot. Note the damage to the Rear. Also looks pretty easy to fix or just leave it. There is a ding in the top. Sold as described. Your purchase is insured with Paypal. The frequency measurement seems accurate but the power level is about 4.4db to high. I am not very familiar with operating this unit so I may have incorrect settings. For auction is a beautiful gently-used(Gov't lab) Tektronix 2711 Spectrum Analyzer with Tracking Generator option installed. RF frequency range is 9KHz to 1.8GHz. Included with unit is power cord, N to BNC female RF adaptors on the RF Input and the TG Output, manual pouch(top of unit) CD copy of both the User's Manual and the Service Manual, plus a small ringbound Pocket Reference for the unit. The 2711 is functionally identical to the 2712, except that it does not have the IEEE 488 general purpose information bus(GPIB) on the rear panel. This Analyzer passes all power-up self tests and has no issues whatsoever. Unit is fully configurable through on-screen menus and is capable of storing up to 35 user presets. Tektronix 3066 Spectrum Analyzer DC-3GHz slight fault
This is a 3GHz Sony Tektronix 3066 Realtime spectrum analyzer. Amazingly powerful and cost around 50,000USD when new. I don't have the equipment to test this beyond a few MHz, but the diagnostics shows a fault with"RF Freq Shfit" and"RF T-Domain" I would guess this indicates something is off in the 3GHz down converter. The instrument seems to work correctly in Baseband mode. The photos were taken with a 1MHz input and the 10MHz instrument reference and I can see the signals here and the instrument may therefore be usable as is for some applications, but it is sold as is. The warranty sticker on the back is intact and I have not attempted repair. The instrument user manual is available in pdf form.

Tektronix 5L4N spectrum analyzer 0-100 khz module and 5A18N dual trace oscilloscope module in Tektronix 5111 frame. Very good condition. No major scratches or dents, paint and finish in very good condition. Oscilloscope works both channels. Spectrum analyzer is temperamental. This instrument should be considered to need repair. The tracking generator has output but does not display to the spectrum analyzer. I would guess an input sensitivity issue on the spectrum analyzer but am not sure. I have had the spectrum analyzer working as in the images, it is not at the moment. I suspect a high resistance connection on an op amp or transistor. Almost all the transistors are socketed, easy to change but perhaps not the best design for long term reliability. No International Sales please.

For offer is a Tektronix 495P Spectrum Analyzer. It is in very good condition; all functions work and the case has a very small number of minor scratches. This unit has been used for evaluating filters. Oscillators, amplifiers, and antennas for a myriad of projects in the 100 Hz to 1.8 GB range. It also has been useful for resolving cable TV issues. A great deal of flexibility in setting up and measuring performance is its hallmark. The 495P is programmable. And can be remotely controlled via the GPIB bus. This feature likely would be unused by most people but, thanks to a free Windows utility program developed by KE5FX, and an inexpensive ProLogic USB-GPIB converter, screen dumps can be made from the analyzer. The screen dumps shown here were produced by that method.
