It is missing the piece that supports the paper when typing. One of the back clips is broken on the top cover, but it stays in place without it. The cord it plugged into the socket in the back of the machine, but the socket itself it loose inside the machine for some reason. Weighs about 16 1/4 pounds before packing. That's about it in a nutshell, I believe it's usable as is, or use it for parts or repair on another unit. Sold as is, no returns.

This is a Perkins Next Generation Brailler. It Brailles fine as you can see from the pictures. A couple of the cheap plastic pieces have broken off of the machine. I have yet to see a next generation Brailler that does not eventually lost these plastic pieces. It does not affect its function. To move the carriage you just gently push down on the knob inside of the carriage return and it will move freely forward or backward. The back-space key works fine. The paper roller works fine. We rolled paper into the machine several times and Brailled line after line with it. Will ship economy. Priority, or internationally. This item is Part No. 6781-025(see close up photo of interior label. Also showing serial number 11TKK78) The part number and what you see on the keyboard are important, because there are at least 2 other typewriters out there called the Personal Wheelwriter 2, and the one I'm selling here has a feature the others lack. The oldest Personal Wheelwriter 2 has rounder lines(and. As I recall, an oval logo on the case) to it, and older style graphics. The model I assume directly replaced it looks very much like the one I'm selling here. But that other version ... moresimilar to mine has a different part number: 6781-018. I have a 6781-018 as well but I am not listing it at this time because it needs a repair(one of the levers that project up out of the case, the one attached to the mechanism that makes it easier to insert or remove paper when in the"looser" position, is broken off) Other than I assume being newer, the 6781-025 I'm selling here has a"repeat print" function the 6781-018(and I assume the older, rounder style case looking one as well) does not. With this typewriter, you can have it reprint what you've just typed. Panasonic KX-W1500 Personal Word Processor Typewriter 3.5 Floppy Drive & Manual
1988 Panasonic KX-W1500 word processor/ typewriter. It's in very nice physical condition- There was a little white residue(maybe paint) on the top when I took the pictures but I was able to get that off. A little light wear on the screen but you don't notice it when you power it on. Keyboard is fine. Overall it's in really good shape. It does come with the 94 page manual(I forgot to take a picture of it) which has a bit of writing and a few drops of coffee on it but it's also in good shape. As far as testing. I powered it on, was able to type(see picture 2) and got the paper advance to work. I don't have any paper or a floppy disc(it takes the 3.5 micro) so I can't test those functions. It most likely needs a new ribbon. I sell as is because I'm uncertain about all the many functions but the original owner said ... moreit works just fine and it obviously was well taken care of.
