Dual pitch(either 10 or 12 spaces per inch) and line-and-a-half vertical spacing. Like its predecessor. The Selectric II was available in standard and wide-carriage sizes and in various colors, including red and blue as well as traditional neutral colors. The Selectric II used the same typeballs, which were available in many fonts, including symbols for science and mathematics, script, Old English, and more than a dozen ordinary alphabets. The typeballs came in two styles: One had a flip-up black plastic lever that could break off, and the other had a metal spring clip with two wire wings that squeezed together and did not break. Over the years, there were several different cartridge styles for the ribbons, even in the same model Selectric, and they were not interchangeable. In 1973 the Correcting Selectric II was announced. It added an internal correction feature to the Selectric II. Intended to eliminate the need for typists to use cover-up tape, white-out" correction fluid, or typewriter erasers. Up for your consideration is a gorgeous vintage blue IBM Correcting Selectric II electric typewriter. It is in outstanding cosmetic and working condition. I personally tested it yesterday and all features seem to be working like new. I tested all the keys and levers. The typewriter hardly makes a sound when idle-it has that new quiet. Soothing IBM"hum" still. It looks like this typewriter was hardly used as I don't see any scratches, nicks, or scuffs. All four rubber feet are still there and in good condition. Here is a set of 6 typing elements(typing balls) for an IBM Selectric III typewriter. These are what are known as 96 character elements and the Selectric III was designed with them in mind. They have 6 more characters than the balls that fit the Selectric I& II typewriter. The main ways to distinguish the 96 character elements is their yellow imprint on the top of the elements rather than white and 96 after the typestyle on the top. There is a variety of type styles in this set. Included in this set are Orator 10 pitch. Prestige Pica 10 pitch, Script 12 pitch, Letter Gothic 12 pitch, Light Italic 12 pitch, and Elite 12 pitch. The carriage also seems to be in good working order. The lift tape looks like it's only half used but it doesn't correct. The correcting key works so it may just be a matter of replacing the tape. It does have a few scratches where paint finish is harmed(lost the gloss) but they are only visible at certain angles. Easily touch-up-able. The picture looking straight at the keyboard has a noticeable white spot on the right front edge. it is white-out, is easily removable.

Set of 8 IBM Selectric I & II Typing Elements Balls Fonts in Storage Case +Bonus
Here is a set of 8 typing elements(typing balls) for an IBM Selectric typewriter plus a bonus one to make a total of 9. These fit either IBM Selectric I or Selectric II typewriters. There are a variety of type styles in this set. Included in this set shown in the box are Large Elite 12 12 pitch. Orator 10 pitch, Script 12 pitch, Advocate 10 pitch, Prestige Elite 12 pitch, Prestige Pica 10 pitch, Letter Gothic 12 pitch and I believe the 8th one may be Symbol- I'm not sure because there is no type style printed on the top. There are a lot of symbols on the type element and the letters appear to be italic. I got to thinking after I took the picture that the symbol element( is either going to be very important to someone or worthless, probably nothing in between. Because of that I added a bonus 9th element, which is a Delegate 10 pitch. These ... moreare used elements but several they are all good. The list price for these at $55 each new would have been over $495 plus the case sold for around $10-$15 so in excess of $500 worth of typing aids here and I'm starting the bidding at $9.99 for the whole set. Here is a brand new Scribe 12 pitch typing element(typing ball) for an IBM Selectric I or Selectric II typewriter. This is an 88 character element. The original typing element(ball) designed for the original IBM Selectric Typewriters and later was the ball for the IBM Selectric II Typewriters, many of which are the famed Correcting Selectric II Typewriters. These elements do not fit the Selectric III typewriters. Which take a 96 character element(see my other auctions) This Scribe is a 12 pitch type style designed for general correspondence with a little different feel than the more common Prestige Elite and Courier 12 type styles. Variety is the spice of life and changing your type styles was the big difference with the IBM Selectrics when they were introduced with their variety of type styles you could change into. This Scribe element is a geniune IBM brand element and is still in its original plastic container. This is an electric IBM Selectric Personal Typewriter. A very rare model from 1982. It works very well and was recently serviced by the woman who owned it. She was the original owner, and did not put a lot of miles on it, as you can see by using it. This also comes with IBM liftoff tape. It has two font elements: 1 for script and another in prestige elite 72 font.
