Working used motor. Switch, and power cord assembly from an IBM Selectric II. Removed from a typewriter with too many mechanical problems. Also included is the installed motor pulley with centrifugal clutch, used motor belt, mounting brackets, and rear plastic case vent that the cord passes through. The motor starts normally, the clutch engages and the pulley engages. Runs quietly and powerfully. The motor is still wired to the working internal power switch and original power cord with 3 prong USA plug. It is a USA shaded pole motor with internal fan for IBM Selectric II. The powercord has a nick in the insulation that doesn't penetrate the internal wires and has a wrap of electrical tape around it. US buyers only. No returns.

This is a great old machine! It's not often you see a typewriter that is bright red. I don't think I know how to use this correctly. I was able to type the message you can see in the third picture. But now I can't get it to type anything else and I don't know why. Maybe it needs oil, maybe it's a user error because I don't know what I'm doing… it comes with one box of extra ink and three boxes of extra correcting tape a.k.a. lift off tape. A really great find.

IBM Selectric Personal Size Compact Typewriter working condition
Cute small IBM Selectric typewriter in basic working condition. It makes a mild clacking noise when first turned on but it goes away after a couple of minutes. It typed all of the characters that you see on the paper in the pictures. I'm sure it could use cleaning and servicing but it seems to function OK as it is now. Shipping about $30 to the lower 48. Even though it's small for a Selectric it still is built like a tank and has some weight to it.

1960s VINTAGE RETRO IBM SELECTRIC I ELECTRIC TYPEWRITER MODEL 71 BROWN WORKS
This is a cool vintage IBM model 71 Selectric typewriter in good working used condition. When I first plugged it in I didn't think it worked because it did not respond to commands. After about t 45 seconds I could hear the motor get audibly louder and it began working perfectly. I repeated this several times with the same results. I'm not sure if it is supposed to have a warm up time but once It is working it stays working until you turn it off. The unit has some cosmetic wear. Scuffs and scratches but is in good overall cosmetic condition. I have the plastic cover but it is in rough shape with several small tears most notably next to the ibm logo. This typewriter measures approximately 22 1/2" wide. 15" deep and 7" tall. It comes with a small rolling table as well as 3 different character balls, a box(4 pcs) of lift-off tape spools(1136433) a box of lift-off tape(86L) 5 boxes of IBM black ink cartridges(1299095) an Olivetti cleaning brush, black vinyl typewriter cover and the operating instruction manual. The rolling table has 2 drop-down leaves for added space, and is made of a heavy steel and wood deck. This typewriter is in overall excellent cosmetic condition. Some of the keys stick when depressed. There is an ink cartridge installed that has since dried out. We're not sure how strong the additional ink cartridges are or if they are ... moredried out also. The black vinyl cover is torn on one side but still covers the typewriter. It is being sold for an estate in its current AS-IS condition with what is shown and has had only 1 owner! It once had an annual service contract for 10 years but hasn't been serviced in a while. Working Red IBM Selectric Typewriter. Very cute size if you are looking to glam up your retro office this is it! If you are looking for a working Selectric. This is it! This typewriter is in great condition for its age, the bright red paint is in great shape except for a couple minor chips as you can see in the pictures. The cord is like new and is crack/fray free. The ribbon will need to be replaced, it has dried up over the years. I test every key and all function very smooth along with the return, tab and spacing. I was unable to find the dust cover and must have misplaced it when I moved but will include it too if I can find it, as of now no cover is included.
