1950`s Olivetti Underwood Studio 44 Portable Typewriter Barcelona, Case & MANUAL
GREAT CONDITION* OLD VTG 1950's OLIVETTI UNDERWOOD STUDIO 44 PORTABLE TYPEWRITER MADE BARCELONA W/CASE AND MANUAL. This offering is for an all original. Ca 1950's, Olivetti Underwood Studio 44 Portable Typewriter. The typewriter is marked"OLIVETTI UNDERWOOD" on the top front just above the keys. The back side of the typewriter has information stating it is a Studio 44 Model and that it was made in Barcelona. The machine is in great condition as seen both above and below. It has only the most minimal of wear, so much so in fact that it looks like it was used very sparingly. Also included for you to view is an image of an example of the typing. The machine types perfectly and quite easily. The typewriters keys are excellent and all of the moving parts seem to function properly. The paint is as close to 99% intact as you could ... morehope to find and the names and markings are all in excellent condition, there is no rust on the machine and the original case is included. The case is in very nice, stable and usable condition as well with light typical wear to the exterior covering. The locking latch, hinges and handle work perfectly. Olivetti Studio 45 typewriter. Teal green, and made in Spain. The unit is in pretty nice shape. The keys all appear to move smoothly and I didn't get any jams testing the unit out. I don't have a good ribbon with which to test the actual type print but I would be surprised if there were any issues on that front. All the letters on the keys are sharp and unworn as well. Up for bid is a Vintage Aqua Olivetti Underwood Lettera 32 Portable Typewriter. The typewriter itself looks and works great. It does need a new ribbon and there is one paint chip behind the ruler. The case is included but it has stains. The zipper has a tear and the zipper pull is missing. The material itself is in nice shape with good color. Shipping estimates are actual cost. Normal 0 false false false EN-GB X-NONE X-NONE The plastic Valentine was immediately called a design icon and takes pride of place in many design museums around the world. Normal 0 false false false EN-GB X-NONE X-NONE A wonderful example of Italian design. With its orange spools and bright red plastic casing. This typewriter was the"Tablet PC" of its day. The designer Sottsass described it as“A Biro amongst typewriters” he wanted this typewriter to be used"anyplace but an office" This lovely example is in"as found" condition and has not been repaired or restored by us. The plastic casing to the machine does not have any cracks. ... moreSplits or damage; it does have the usual marks and scuffs you would associate with its age- these are mainly to the top where the machine has been rubbed when taken in and out of the carrying case. The metal work still has its chrome finish. The keys and space bar work well and the typewriter types well. But needs a new ribbon. Unfortunately, the"hold shift" key is missing(see photo above) but the"hold shift" function still works. The rubber catches to the protective case are intact. Flexible and still fasten well. All four rubber feet are present and in good condition. Please note that the white spots in the photos are reflections. VINTAGE UNDERWOOD OLIVETTI TYPEMASTER MANUAL TYPEWRITER 296230
This is a vintage Underwood Olivetti Typemaster manual typewriter in good working order. It does show some wear from use. And it could use a new ribbon. I cleaned it up the best I could, but it could use a professional going-over. When I tipped it back to take pictures of the underside, the springs came off the arms that hold the paper against the roller, and a screw fell out. So now the arm is loose and needs the springs reattached(the springs are still attached on one end to the typewriter) and the screw put back in. I do not know enough about typewriter repair to try to take it apart or work on it myself so I leave that up to the next owner. It stills works as shown in the photos and it is a nice typewriter. I checked all of the keys and they seem to all work. It's a heavy beast and will be packed and shipped carefully. It comes with ... morean Underwood vinyl cover. It was m ade in Heartford. T here is light wear. Minor chips, and surface pitting on some of the painted metal parts. The Carriage Return Lever was designed with a small stop so that when you flip it around for use, it would keep the arm at a certain position. This arm stop is broken off and we did not repair it, A very minor thing that does not interfere with the operation of the machine. The arm will stay at whatever position that you put it in for use) There are a few very minor marks on the Platen. The Space Bar was defective so we designed a new one out of a piece of Missouri Cedar. We believe that it really adds character to this nice machine. It is simply a wonderful machine that is responsive and is just fun type on. A nice collectible example of a n 1947 Olivetti Studio 44 The carriage seems to glide along without a hitch.
