The typewriter itself is in very good condition for its age(see photos) From what I can tell it works correctly. I am not an expert on typewriters. But tested all keys, etc. It does need new ribbon. The case has a crack in the back left corner(see photos) and needs a good cleaning after being stored for several years. None of that affects the function of the case. Please View The Images Below Vintage Brother Charger 11 CORRECTION Portable Typewriter With Original black snap over case/cover. Powder blue with black accents. The Blue surfaces are FREE of any scratches or dents. NO corrosion or rust. The base or bottom has a small indentation or dent without any loss of paint. Rubber feet are in excellent condition. Internally very clean. Types well. Advances, and feeds paper correctly. No sticky keys. Correction Ribbon has dried out. Top plastic case has a few scuffs on rear edge from being stored. The rest of the case is very clean with a FEW minor scratches to its gloss sides. Owners manual includid. A beautiful preserved specimen! I use HEAVY cardboard boxes. Banana shipping boxes to be precise as they are Heavy-Walled and made to slip over one another. I use one large high density 8 to 10 inch soft ... morecompressible Polyurethane Foam slab or layered Soft Poly Foam to place in bottom of box. The Typer, case, etc are placed in clear plastic bags and set down on the foam. I also place Foam layers INSIDE the case if there is one to prevent the Typer from shifting around. Then another piece of 8 to 10 inch Poly Foam is placed on top of Typer. The Box Top is then placed on this foam and pushed down OVER the edges of the lower box and compressed. This places the Typer in a cushioned and confined area without any movement. Under this compressed state the 2 pc boxes are heavily taped shut. I have been using this method for years for shipping my Typewriters without any damage. A bit overkill and it cost a bit more but it works like a charm as I have seen no damage. As I use the USPS for shipping and PRINT my shipping labels at home the amount I charge you for shipping is ON the label. If by some chance the cost of shipping is over by a large amount I will gladly refund you the difference through PayPal. As most people are aware.
