Fenton Silvercrest Lot 3 BON BON's: 1 TURNED UP side; 2 SQUARE Cir 1943-1952
Fenton Silvercrest BON BON's Lot of 3 Circa 1943 into the 1950's These Bon Bon's you don't see a lot of. You can find the regular one that was made in large numbers in the 1960's but these are very difficult to find. One has two turned up ends and the other two are what are called"Square" BON BON's. All are terrific and you will be excited to display them in your own collection. I am sure. So first we have the one in back on first picture with all 3. That is the Square Bon Bon. This one is terrific with a larger than normal clear edge around the piece. This piece is about 6-1/2 inches wide on the flared out ends and the tighter ends are about 5 inches wide. The clear edge is about 1/2 inch wide alone. A very wonderful piece. Next to that one is the turned up ends bon bon. This one is about 6-1/4 inches wide ... moreon the flared out side and about 5 inches on the turned in side. The clear edge is much more normal for silvercrest. I have only seen a handful of this type of crimped bon bon's in my collecting which is several decades now. Very rare and hard to find. The third one laying flat in that picture is also another square bon bon. It's clear edge again is more back to the way most Silvercrest pieces are made. It is also about 6-1/8 inches wide on the flared corner end and about 5 inches on the turned up corner ends. I see no chips-cracks or repairs on any of these. But please keep in mind that these have been previously owned and displayed and over all condition is a such. I do see some straw marks which is not uncommon for Fenton's Silvercrest or milk glass line. Nothing serious however. Thanks for looking. PLEASE NOTE: Due to differences in Computer Monitors.
