Given the configuration of this motor and the E90. I am assuming that it would also work for the E96. The motor was examined by a local motor shop and given a clean bill of health. I originally set out to restore my 1973 E90. But interests have changed since I started the project, and it is time to move on. Guaranteed you will not find another motor for the E90 in the same condition as this one. This motor has been sandblasted. Repainted using TSC Restoration Series Paint with hardener via a paint ... moregun. The whole unit was cleaned and reassembled.
