There is some oxygen in the tank and I opened it up and it flowed freely into the ... moremask. I did not go into a burning building. So you will need to fully test it on your own prior to using in any real-life situations. Everything on this unit shows some gentle use, except one corner of the case(pic 8) looks like it was set down too hard or dropped and it has cracked as shown. There are QTY 2- 60 minute tanks being included, but the second tank(not hooked up) has the glass missing from the gauge. Not sure how functional it is, because there is no O2 in it. Rubber on the mask is pliable and not brittle or cracking. This is a heavy unit and I will be shipping in the carrying case. The extra(damaged) tank will not fit in the case. Shipping it will be an additional $11 for shipping if you want it included. If you would rather not pay for the shipping. This would be a great addtion to a collection of mining nostalgia- it's a Self Contained Oxygen Generating Breathing Apparatus. Manufactured by Mine Safety Appliances(M.S.A. Includes all items in the photos. Was manufactured in the late 1940s for use the mines. It looks to be complete in used condition with typical signs of its age. Original case is solid but shows wear and fading. Comes with all the equipment inside the case. As shown in pictures. Please note: this is for display or educational purposes only.
