Ampex VU Meter from AG-602. Working, good condition Note: All photos are of the actual item offered for sale. And they have not been modified in any way. carefully] pulled from the electronics module of an Ampex AG-602 reel to reel tape recorder. This is an original Ampex part from around 1973. A possible part number: D-4140019-01. Made in USA. I gave this a quick test to make sure the movement is working freely and properly: I connected a 1.5V AA battery to the meter through a 2.2K Ohm current limiting resistor. The meter deflected smoothly to"+1. as expected, and fell smoothly back to the bottom stop when the battery was disconnected. No cracks or chips in the plastic housing. And the meter face is very clear and clean, with no scratches. You'll want to know how clean the face is, right? If you look hard enough, you'll find ... morelight scuffs, but you really have to be holding the meter at just the"right" angle, and really be looking closely.
