Lot of 2 GE General Electric DC mA Milliamperes Panel Type 00-91 I found these in a generic box marked new. But I have no way to guarantee that. They are in excellent condition with a couple tiny scuffs from rubbing against each other. They also have a wooden outer box that encases the back of the meter. They measure approx. 3-1/4 inch square. We do not accept returns on vintage electronics and sell them As-Is. I am not an expert on any of these items. So please feel free to ask questions! Here's an interesting bar graph analog meter. Handy for some pieces with very little real estate for meters. 0-60ma. I think the maker is Beede, and Collins refers to the radio company. Zero adjust works. Meter moves fine. This would be good for checking tube bias. The meter weighs 4 ounces. I don't have a current source(one that is regulated) So I used my LCR meter to make rudimentary readings: inductance is 2.2uH including the 6" long test leads(the meter doesn't have a provision for zeroing out the leads) resistance is 2.28 ohms. Weston Panel Meter model 506 dual range milliammeter 0-100mA 0-20mA tester mod
This is a used Weston Model 506 dual-range ammeter. 1-100mA and 1-20mA. The panel cutout is 2.2" The meter face is 2.7" The meter body is of bakelite. The glass was reattached with a few drops of glue, though they didn't show up in the picture for some reason. There are no dents or cracks. The meter moves fine. The zero adjust works. This meter is small enough to fit in some tube testers that lack the ability to measure cathode current. If you have a transconductance tester. Insert this in the cathode circuit, and wire up a toggle switch to switch between 20mA and 100mA. It will tell you how much current. If you know the applied plate voltage and grid voltage, you will know the operating parameters of the tube and can compare your results against the book. Weston Panel Meter model 301 milliammeter 0-100 mA DC 2-11/16" cutout 3.5" wide. There are no dents or cracks. The meter moves fine. The zero adjust works. This would be good for checking tube bias. The meter is made of bakelite and weighs 7 ounces. I don't have a current source(one that is regulated) So I used my LCR meter to make rudimentary readings: inductance is 1.3uH including the 6" long test leads(the meter doesn't have a provision for zeroing out the leads) resistance is 1.01 ohms. This is a used Weston Model 301 ammeter. 1-5 amps DC. The panel cutout is 2-9/16" The meter face is 3-1/4" wide. There is some paint missing where the meter has been sitting on its face. There are no dents or cracks. The meter moves fine. The zero adjust works. This would be good for checking the total current in an amplifier. The meter is made of bakelite. With a brass bezel, and weighs 8 ounces. I don't have a current source(one that is regulated) So I used my LCR meter to make rudimentary readings: inductance is 7.4uH including the 6" long test leads(the meter doesn't have a provision for zeroing out the leads) resistance is 1.82 ohms. Westinghouse Large Panel Meter Milliammeter 0-150 mA 3.75" cutout 4 3/16" wide
This is a used Westinghouse meter. 1-150mA DC. The panel cutout is 3-3/4" The meter face is 4 3/16" wide by 3 15/16" tall. The corner radii are approximately 7/8" I don't have radii gauges, so that's a guess) The pictures show grommets. I removed those and installed two brass nuts, which is how it would've come from the factory. The meter wasn't zeroed out when I took pictures. However. The zero adjust works. This would be good for use with high current tubes. Inserted in the cathode to measure current(you would need to run a switch to check current-these shouldn't be left in-circuit indefinitely, unless it's bypassed) The meter is made of bakelite and weighs one pound(1lb) Very heavy for a meter. And very high quality I assume.
