Midmark Ritter 355 Exam Light Fixed Focus- Ceiling Mount- 100W Halogen- 4000 fc(47.000 lux) ~Scroll Down for Additional Pictures~ This Ritter 355 Ceiling mounted exam light is only 4 1/2 yrs old. The last facility biomed inspection was completed on 2/2013 according to the tag. It is in excellent cosmetic and tested working condition but it is missing the ceiling plate and 12 Volt transformer. I was able to test function by attaching a 12 volt battery to the lead wires(see pics) The cosmetic plate is included and it should be easy enough to rig up a mounting plate and power supply for someone with a little know-how. I have not checked availability but I am sure the plate/transformer is available for purchase from Ritter. The 23" diameter cast iron base has pivoting casters that allow it to be moved around easily. The gear mechanism works fine an allows the mirrored lamp head to be pivoted in its yoke. In the one photo I have removed the bottom lens to show the interior convex reflecting mirrors. The sockets accept standard base bulbs(bulbs not included) The hand blown 8" glass globe on top is new and shows off a carbon filament bulb. The cord is a new 18 gauge cloth covered wire with an old fashioned two prong plug. The lamp operates great and has lots of character. The piece has light rust stains and tarnish. Up for auction is a vintage American Surgical Lamp Co light. It is on a cast iron base stand and has a telescoping steel pole that will extend up to over 8ft high. It works when you plug it up. However I would highly recommend a new cord at the very least. It is in rough to fair physical shape. It has rust, and the chrome is peeling, the base has rust and will need repainting also. The casters on the bottom will need replacing or cleaning up, they dont turn very well. The small center tube on the light(not the stand) was bent slightly, I straightened it. The hand lever for adjusting the light head works. Skytron is the best and this one is no exception. On close inspection the light head has some small dings in the metal but still works as good as it ever did. The telescopic pole is VERY hard to move up and down. The telescopic feature does work. However it is sticking and takes two hands and some muscle to get it to move. The control panel has the on/off switch, 2 fuse holders, A or B light selector and intensity control to dim the lights. Lamp change is easy by simply taking out one screw and removing the dome. The control panel is mounted to the wall where it is provided 120V line voltage to power the system. From the back of the control panel. A 7 wire bundle is attached for each light and run to each light box. No other power is needed and all wires are color coded for easy wiring. Made by Wilmot Castle of Rochester. New York, this medical exam light has a 12 5/8-inch silver reflector shade with blue explosion proof glass cylinder bulb cover. This classic"Model 8" has a machine age putty blue finish and chrome accents, and sits on an elaborate base with steel hairpin braces bolted to a solid wood x-frame with rolling caster wheels. The curved metal arm measures 18 inches and has a spring-action hinge that stays where you want it. The lamp stands approximately 82 inches at highest position, and the base is 29.5 inches at widest point. The arm adjusts all the way down from an almost vertical position to below the hinge box. It also adjusts from side to side, and you can position the reflector shade in absolutely any way you want. A silver metal reflector diffuser was added to the frame of the blue glass cylinder ... moreshade. It was used to redirect all of the light from the bulb onto the reflective surface of the shade.
