Comes with optional LED light attachment and two rechargeable NiMH batteries. From storage of a medical center that went out of business. Has some issues/damage. Read details below before bidding. Cosmetics-Headset part is clean overall. Looks like they were generally well taken care of. The protective clear glass part attached to the frames is clean. The loupes have some dust. A few hazy spots, and some coating loss/fine scratches from cleaning. Nothing I noticed much looking through them. I found it difficult to get them in the right alignment using the controls but I am not a medical person. Both do have some glue added to the mounts where the loupe screws attach ... moreto the bracket. Maybe to firm up some cracks? See photo. So they don't hold as tight in position as they should. Probably best for someone who already uses this series and knows how to properly set these up or maybe replace some parts. I ran the light on each pack and both were going strong after an hour. Untested longer than that. I did notice one thing on the packs. The top control knob adjustments did not change the intensity of the light. If you turn the controls on either pack the light just stayed the same brightness. Vintage Antique Industrial Operay Multibeam Surgical Lamp Steampunk Light
For your consideration is a rare 1930's"OPERAY MULTIBEAM" surgical light. This large floor lamp screams steampunk! The upper section probably hung from the ceiling originally. It has been mounted on the telescoping base and works great. The 23" diameter cast iron base has pivoting casters that allow it to be moved around easily. The gear mechanism works fine an allows the mirrored lamp head to be pivoted in its yoke. In the one photo I have removed the bottom lens to show the interior convex reflecting mirrors. The sockets accept standard base bulbs(bulbs not included) The hand blown 8" glass globe on top is new and shows off a carbon filament bulb. The cord is a new 18 gauge cloth covered wire with an old fashioned two prong plug. The lamp operates great and has lots of character. The piece has light rust stains and ... moretarnish. What paint was on it has been stripped down to a bare metal, with exception of the center sphere which has its black finish. From a 5 foot distance I was able to adjust the light spot from 4" diameter to 12" diameter. I was also able to move the light spot anywhere within a 7 foot diameter circle from a distance of 5 feet using the joystick control. The control panel has the on/off switch, 2 fuse holders, A or B light selector and intensity control to dim the lights. Lamp change is easy by simply taking out one screw and removing the dome. The control panel is mounted to the wall where it is provided 120V line voltage to power the system. From the back of the control panel. A 7 wire bundle is attached for each light and run to each light box. No other power is needed and all wires are color coded for easy wiring. I will leave my 8 foot test wires attached to the system to assist the next owner with the wiring.
