They will all have some sort of marking on them such as a date that they were put in service or the department initials and they may have some scuffs and signs of being in a charger. None of those things affect performance. These batteries are rechargeable nickel-cadmium. The fuel gauge shows how much battery power is available. Notice: This 1.6 Amp Hour Capacity Battery must be used with an AC or DC Power Adapter which is compatible with 1.6 amp hour batteries. This item does NOT include the charger.
