Olympus Iplex IV7435 Video Borescope Inspection Camera AS IS
A friend from work gave me this when he retired. It powers up and you can hear the fans working. But there is no video and the articulation function does not work. Upon power up, you can hear a beep and the lights on the remote are visible. The screen doesn't appear to be cracked but as you can see in the picture, the wires pull out from the side. I did not take the back off to see if the wires were detached. The outside case is in good condition and one of the wheels are broken. ALL of the adapter tips are missing. There is one tip on the cable but I don't know if it is any good. This is how I got it and everything thing in the pictures is all I have.

This is a Scientific Instruments/AO Reichert Sigmoidoscope. Model SC-4B. These are normally used in the field of medicine for visual inspections through endoscopy. This unit is being sold as-is as-described, there are some defects noted with this endoscope although from a general perspective it is operating(just not 100% Please be sure to read the description fully before bidding as all sales are final. Endoscope is in fair condition with scuffs. Marks and wear from normal usage. Looking through the scope(picture below) you can see that some of the fibers are broken, but for the most part you can see the subject area through eyepiece with no problems. One of the rubber grommets on the light-source cable broke off, so I had to put some electrical tape to hold the cable in place. The light-source fibers appear OK and light is properly illuminated ... morethrough the scope(light source not included) Articulation is only working in two directions. The inner-larger knob works properly. Although the smaller-outer knob is not working, an internal inspection shows that the cables have broken inside the control head. Because of this, full articulation is not possible. I don't have the expertise or material to repair it either. As it is. For sale is a used Olympus Flexible Borescope IF6D4-010 with remote Tip turn control it comes with the case shown and an ILK-4 cold light supply This was used for inspection of internal cavities of Jet engine components. It comes with the Olympus SMR lens shown. It comes with the Olympus 35mm camera and lens shown. I connected it to the light source and look through it and manipulated the end. It worked good for me. The case holds the borescopes and accessories nicely. The light source comes with it. But does not fit inside the case. I am including the following items as a bonus free of charge. They are not made to fit in case. But can be carefully fitted in. I no longer need them. These are shown in last photo with Bonus shown. Most of us shooters and gunsmiths just call them borescopes. This borescope comes with what you see in photos… spare lamp. Padded box, battery pack power supply and two new batteries. The OD of the outer tube is 5mm I get.1965 with my micrometer. This borescope will work on 22 rimfire and larger calibers. Limited numbers of these were made and sold in the 1990’s and I think this one is from 1995, I remember seeing this one being used for the first time in 1996 and at that time they were considered the best bore scope money could buy. But you had to have deep pockets to own one. One reason they didn’t sell a lot of these was there price of $2100 to ... more$2600 depending on the light source you got. This bore scope has German optics and a hand held battery pack with rheostat to control output to lamp at the end of borescope, as with many scopes with this type connection at times you may have to wiggle the connection point a bit to make good contact and this one is no deferent. The UV designates that it has a dye penetrant channel going through from the handle to the tip- a'compressed air duster' burst goes through it ok. This has a long reach- the length is ~ 8-1/2' for the viewing tube and ~5-1/2' for the light tube. The diameter is ~1/4"for the viewing tube and ~5/16" for the light tube end. Cosmetic condition: The pictures should show the external conditions. The handle is scratched and dented, call or email if there is any question. A light source is not included- the illumination was made with just a flashlight as a light source. Functional condition: The tip up/down and side/ side deflections are ~90 degrees. Some slightly less and some slightly more. The locking functions ... moreare ok. The image clarity is good and we think there is only one broken fiber- one of the pictures(as clear as we can make it) shows the actual'black dot' The illumination and focusing are good- we can focus on a part of one letter in a newspaper or the house across the street. The case is good but it is not the one intended for this model. made to fit' There is a severe limitation. Depending on your application- the illumination light transmission(not the viewing transmission) is poor. That is because the light tube surface that connects to the illumination source is damaged as shown in the last picture(the picture was taken by shining a flashlight into the viewing tip) It probably could be repaired by grinding the surface back and polishing the resultant flat surface. The bottom line is that inspecting in a lighted area will be fine but inspecting in a dark area will not, unless it is repaired. Excepting the above surface. Neither the viewing or illumination tubes show any damage. Surplus to a local aerospace companies needs. The packaging for safe delivery will be done properly. I got this unit because I needed to record something going on inside a machine. It worked really well. But now I haven't used it in a long time and don't want it collecting dust on a shelf. It can take pictures or video. It has a little SD card port for storing data. The camera is on the tip of the probe. So there are only electrical wires going along the cable giving it a really nice tight bend radius and thin diameter. It doesn't look like Medit is making this particular model anymore(or at least I don't see it on the website) But it's in good working condition and really does the trick. It cost about $3k when it was brand new. In the pictures I'm showing it turned on and presenting a live image.

The rotating panning action is super versatile. The camera was also very sensitive to light levels. The scope throws a ton of illumination and I had to turn the light down almost to the lowest setting. So if you need to scope a really large cavity. Video Borescope Inspection Camera Extech Instruments Model BR70
This is a video inspection tool that has a 2" by 2" color screen. It has a 36" flexible cable with 6 levels of brightness on the lens end of the cable. When searching in a dark location, you can adjust the level of brightness to see into the darkness. There are 8 levels of brightness on the viewing screen. You have the ability to flip the screen 180 degrees with a push of a button. This item works on 4 AA batteries, included in this auction. I bought this for a specific use and have never needed it again. It is like new. The protective film is still on the 2 x 2 color screen.
