Early Industrial Foot Pedal - Variable Speed Controller
Here is an interesting industrial piece. It is a foot pedal controller for some type of machine. The only marking on it is as shown 115V. I don't know if it is for a sewing machine or some type of drill or grinder. The foot rest is 8 inches long and moves a mechanism inside the rheostat. The cord is frayed. So I did not test it for power to the connector shown. There is still a decent amount of the original black on the piece. Feel free to offer your comments and insight on this one. Thanks for looking.

The pedal measures 9-11/16" long and is 3" wide. The pivot base measures 4-1/2" x 1-3/4" oval. It sits 2" tall. It has a 3/8" diameter hole at the toe for a chain or connecting rod.
