It is probably a handmade copy of the Eddleman but for all I know it could very well be an actual prototype of the Never Fail hook. I have no way of tracing it however. No Reserve. Classic 7' Bamboo Fly Rod by Charles Grove, Maker 2/2 With Bag And Aluminum Tube
I have not been able to find out anything about Charles Grove. The maker. This 7 foot, 2 piece, 2 tip rod is beautifully designed and executed. The cork cigar grip tapers to a cork reel seat with two sliding rings. The cork has no chips or gouges. Both tip sections are 3/4" longer than the butt section, looks like the rod may have been built that way. All sections are essentially straight. The ferrules are"popping" tight. The female ferrule on the butt has a soldered ring welt. The stripper guide has an artificial agate liner. The snake guides are pristine, with transparent wraps. The rod is designed to cast a 4 weight line. I have not put a line on it but in flexing it feels like a good dry fly rod. This rod is in excellent condition. It comes with a cloth bag in a good quality aluminum tube.

1963 Gibson Electric Guitar Melody Maker with original Gibson alligator skin case. Back in the 60's before I acquired her. The top of this 50 year old Gibson was refinished in a beautiful antique finish. I don't know exactly who, when, where or why, but she does look nice. She has been played alot but not at all in the last 25 years. The body and neck are original and have never been broken, cracked or repaired. The pickgaurd was replaced somewhere along the line. The pickups are both original. Original parts as follows: Original Pickups, Original nut, Original posts, Original bridge, Original case, Original tuners, Original knobs, Original 3 way switch, Original finish on body and neck, except antique refin. top) Original strap buttons, and Original frets. There is a Badass tuneomatic bridge on the guitar at this time and that is ... moreincluded in the sale. The original bridge is also included. I believe the pots were replaced with correct pots back in 1972(CTS Pots from'72) Someone also messed with the wiring. Probably when they replaced the broken pickgaurd. Everything works except the tone pot for the neck pickup. The pickup works but the tone stays pretty bassy on the neck pickup. This old gal has been exposed to cig smoke. Other smoke, alcohol, loose women, the 60's, the 70's etc. years of playing out and has left a few badges of character.ie. the usual little scratches, dings& signs of finish aging consistant with a 50 year old guitar that has been played) There is one noteable surface gouge on the lower bout(see picture no. 9) The original Gibson gator skin case is pretty beat. Gothic Revival Oak Carved Drop Front Desk Belgium Maker
Carved oak desk in gothic style made in Belgium. Cabinet is constructed with wood pins. Definitely an early piece. Medium to dark oak finish is all original and in great condition. The drop lid is supported by heavy cast hinges. Interior has pigeon holes and there is a panel on the rear of the cabinet that allows access to the pigeon holes. Stunning and Important Old Violin-Boston School Maker- Beautiful Voice
This an absolutely stunning old full size violin by Boston are maker Iver Poulsen. Iver is a lesser known maker. Making very few instruments but hahe reputation for for fine violins with excellent tone.This violin commands attention as example of fine craftsmanship.The top and bottom plates have a wonder high arching, but not as high as a stainer.The back is a two piece matchbook, highly flamed.the top is narrow grained with expertly cut f-holes.Inlaid purfling, lined and blocked.The neck is strong and graceful, leading to a highly flamed pegbox and one of the nicest deep cut scroll Ive ever seen,with an extra turn.the pegs are original to the violin and work well.Remarkably, the only damage to this violin is a small crack in the lower rib, which by inspection from the inside does not appear to extend all the way through the wood.it is stable ... moreand of no concern.The varnish is original and is a burnt orange over a golden amber ground.there are also a few hints of chestnut, with a wonderful patina.there is a slight crackle to the varnish. This violin projects well.notes in tone easily fill the room.the lower register is velvety with a little grit. Slightly on the dark side.the upper register rings like a bell with lots of overtones.The set up is slightly lower for ease of play.No expense has been spared with the set-up with an ebony"compensated" tailpiece, and new Evah Pirazzi strings with the gold plated E string. Here is a real nice vintage salt water fishing reel. I cannot identify the maker but it has a ship on the side of the reel with no other marks that I can find. It was in a box as shown that says Florida salt water reel. I do not know if the reel was arbitrarily placed in that box or if it is a Florida reel. I cannot find any info on a Florida reel. The reel is in awesome condition as shown.The box has a crunch on the top. If someone knows this reel I would be appreciative if they would share that with me.

1962-63 Gibson Double Cutaway Melody Maker
This item is an early 1960's Gibson Melody Maker. I tried to date the guitar via the serial number stamped in the back of the headstock. As far as I could find. The guitar was made in 1962 or 1963. I am not the original owner but have had the guitar for the past 20 years or so. For most of the time that I have had the guitar it has been hanging in my office or in storage. I never really played it much and never gigged with it, mostly just played it a few minutes here and there in the office. It is a very resonant guitar and sounds great unplugged. It also has a very comfortable neck and plays pretty good. The original case will be included with the guitar. This guitar is in what I would consider to be great shape for a guitar that is 50 years old. It has the wear and tear associated with guitars this old but is in much better condition ... morethat most new relic and artificially aged guitars. Antique Copper Teapot Maker and Age Unknown, Signed
Antique copper teapot. Very old, but exact age and maker unknown, possibly of middle eastern origin Very attractive piece and in decent condition for its age. It does have a few dings, or dimples, which I have photographed in the highest lighting conditions to reflect. Still a very nice piece. The maker's stamp in the bottom is difficult to decipher, but shows well in the photographs. It is unknown what type of metal lines this pot, but it does have some decent weight to it for its size. 10" tall and 7 1/2" wide from tip of spout to edge of handle. Early Disston No 76 Butt Gauge Finish Carpenter Marking Pattern Maker Cabinet
Nice butt gauge by Disston that measures a long 8" It is marked Disston USA 76. It has a wood thumb screw type fastener and also had built in. A metal shim for tensioning. I am not sure of the wood. It is dark- but I cannot tell if it is a mahogany or a cherry, or something else. The measures are pretty legible- at least after the 1" mark. There are scratches and toolbox dings, and some discolorations, but there are no major issues with the wood on this tool- no major chips or cracks.
