Description: This is a great vintage piece with that super SO CAL vibe with the vibrant graphics on this cool board from the late 70s or early 80s. The main color is like a mustard yellow with bright cherry and orange stripes and a lightning bolt evil eye decoration. There are a few scuffs and chips as this was a board that saw a lot of use. You can really tell by looking at the pictures of the underside of the board. There are all the usual scrapes and dings on the bottom side. If you look at the pictures of the nose you will see two lines. They are not cracks but those folds in the varnish you get from being wet a lot on these old wooden boards. Please look at all my pictures as they are the best way to judge condition. The board measures about 37” X 20” The board has that square back you see on a lot of Pure Style boards. Antique Early 1900s Imperial Trouser Hanger Wall Hanging Cast Iron NICE Hook Too
Antique Early 1900s Imperial Trouser Hanger Wall Hanging Cast Iron NICE Hook Too Lots of oldees for you this week- some very cool and very old primitives. Fabulous retro industrial, wonderful original artwork, and even some deco thrown in- there’s something for everyone! Here is a unique one- it calls itself a trouser hanger. With a patent date on the front of November 29, 1900, but you can really use it for so many things- hang it up on the wall, and it's a nice towel rack, linen hanger, or just a general hook from which you can hang your displays! The backplate that mounts on the wall is made of cast iron, and it identifies that it is called an"Imperial Trouser hanger, put out by Pynchon& Co. in Philadelphia. The looping tubes in the front I believe are made of steel(if not cast iron, too, a magnet sticks to them) and look ... moreto have a nickel plated finish- I can't be sure, but it sure looks like the nickel finishes of the early last century- it's still quite shiny silver, with very little wear. Most of the teenie dark spots that you may see in the photos are actually dirt or grime- it could use a good cleaning. It weighs a hefty 1 1/4 lbs, and it measures 9 3/8" wide at the hooks, 2 3/4" deep hook loops only, and 3 1/8" deep from the backplate to the very front of the hook. I did notice that the backplate- which the end of the back of the hook is threaded into- tilts just a smidge off center to the left- it's really hard to notice(and easier to see from the back in my photos- see photo 7- it's just a touch off straight) and very well may be original as it does not budge for me- it's on tight. It's in excellent solid and sturdy condition. Aside from needing a good cleaning, there's a some small spots of white wall paint on the very edges of the backplate- from when the wall was painted, I'm sure. Primitive Antique Hand Forged Iron Handled Pot Hearth Hanger Copper? Lots of oldees for you this week- some very cool and very old primitives. Fabulous retro industrial, wonderful original artwork, and even some deco thrown in- there’s something for everyone! loveLoveLOVE this one! It is a very old. Antique, hand forged iron handled pot. Actually, the handle, and the top ring of the pot are iron- the pot itself, I really don't know. I can't decide if it's copper with a silver colored finish, or silver metal, with a copper finish- see what you think. Look at photo 12 close up- it almost looks like a silver metal, with a worn copper over it. I can tell you that there's lots of green oxidation on the top- especially the top metal that wraps around the round iron frame at the top. It weighs just under 4 lbs, and it measures 5 ... more3/4" tall(not including the handle) and 11" diameter at the mouth. As you can see from my photos, this is a very well used pot- it's very old. The bottom is black and slightly rounded- it will not sit flat, but it's not rounded enough to not sit straight, either. You can clearly see that the iron is hand forged. It has a layer of light surface rust that is so old, it's just part of the darkdarkdark patina. Nothing more than surface, and no structural issues at all- the pot is in excellent overall condition. The inside is all in the silver colored metal, and the outside shows streaks of a deep copper patina mixed with the dark silver. The inside of the pot is very dirty and could use a good cleaning- I have not tried to clean it an any way, as I do not want to mess with original patina. This one would make for a fabulous hearth hanger- it's very old, it's primitive, it's rustic, it's perfect to me! Please ask if you have any questions. Classic Kestrel 200 SCi carbon framset w/broken hanger. Makes a Cool FIXIE / SS
Mid to late 90's Kestrel SCi framset. Frame has been sitting in my garage for years waiting for me to resurect it. I just don't have the time nor the room for another bike. Low miles on this frame. I broke the hanger off when I threw my deraileur into it the spokes. Major design flaw as the hanger is not replacable. I intended to make it into a single speed to get more miles out of a bike that was expensive at the time, but never got around to it. I am playing with steel bikes now, so I am selling. Paint is in pretty good condition. Chips on the chainstay from chain drop, rubs in the usual places from cables. Frame takes a one inch fork. Headset is not complete. parts and bearings have been lost over the years.
