Vintage 20's 30's Dunlop Stock Advertising Metal Garage Vertical Sign NOT ENAMEL
For auction is a great Dunlop Stock tyre advertising sign. This item probably dates from the 30's and I think it is a miracle it has survived as it is screen printed rather than the much tougher enamel signs. The metal sheet is about 18swg aluminium and measures 5' x 1' It seems to be a more unusual sign as it is printed vertically and is a nice size to fit on a wall with out been too over powering. As you can see some of the print has come off but this gives it a lovely appearance for that industrial chic look. I have left it how it came out of the old garage it came out of for that reason. No reserve or buy it now. I am happy to post this item but obviously it is quite delicate so you will have to take a chance with Parcelforce but I will pack and strengthen it the best I can. Up for auction is 2 door rollers a 5ft piece of track and some big fat nails that came out of the tracking I will send enough nails for the brackets on the tracking. Vintage 1960's Electric Light Garage Patio Lamp (3) Globes Architectural Salvage
This vintage electric light is a cool piece of architectural salvage that the homeowner said was from the 1960's. The fixture is metal and is painted brown; it has mounting holes and would be hard-wired to operate from a switch. The attached globe is thick. Clear glass with a nice design. This light also comes with two additional glass globes that likely came from other lights, but they seem to fit this one as well. The light is about 6.5" high(not counting mounting plate) and 3.5" wide; the mounting plate is about 5" in diameter. This light will look great in a variety of different spaces! Thanks for looking! Danelectro Dead On '67: Superb, cool Black Keys/Jack White garage-rock guitar
This is a Danelectro Dead On'67– if you've never heard of them. You're really missing out. Now out of production and becoming highly sought-after. They're a superb thrash/punk/garage-rock/dirty blues guitar with two single-coil pickups, a primitive but surprisingly useful tremolo bridge and Danelectro's clever wiring, giving you the two pickups in series when they're both selected, making for a noise-cancelling semi-humbucker effect– more volume and depth to the sound, without losing the awesome chiming top end. It's a fabulous thing. Very light and with a ridiculously playable neck. I love it, but since I got an SG it's just not getting enough use, so I'd rather pass it on than let it sit gathering dust and looking neglected. It's got a few of the usual marks of playing wear– scratches round the jack ... moresocket, for instance, and a few very minor dings, but no serious dents or scratches at all. Its matt orange paint, with the sparkly mother-of-pearl-on-acid scratchplate, looks fantastic on stage. You'll definitely get noticed. Here's a professional review which will give you all the facts. Primitve rustic old red hanging wall display from an old garage that closed down. Advertising the National Motor Bearing Co. Inc in Redwood City, Calif. and Van Wert, Ohio. This old hanging display is metal and is painted red with white graphics. There is the WHITE SEAL figure on the front. The sign on front says"SAFETY GREASE FRONT WHEELS ALWAYS USE NEW GREASE SEALS" ~ It measures 22" tall. 16 1/2"wide, 4" deep. There are 3 hinges, 1 metal closer, 12 divided compartments. The compartments measure 7" by 4"deep and wide. The back has 2 hanger holes on top and 2 on bottom. It will set alone on a table or can be hung from 2 nails/screws. There are also 2 nails at the base to more permanently install on wall. There are 12 compartments. Condition is as seen in pictures. There is surface rust but no actual holes ... moreand all is working. The paint is missing on the outside as seen. The surface was cleaned. up for bid is a vintage early 1970's Coca-Cola thermometer with great paint(very bright-no fading) and a working thermostat. it stands 17' tall and 5" wide is embossed round and 3/4" at the crest. no rust issues. Very unusual for an outdoor thermometer. Colorado is a fairly dry climate. this would be great for a collector as well as nice accent for your patio, working garage, deck.
