Up for bid is one Vintage YALE METAL PROD. CO. Nickel Plated Single Action Fly Reel. This reel has a nickel plated brass handle with a wood knob and counterweight. Brass is the base metal on the pillars. Bearing cap, clicker button, and screws. The plating on the body and spool is in good condition with some missing on the back and on the foot(see photos) The base metal on the body and spool is not brass where it shows, it looks more like nickel silver. There is a clicker controlled by a slide button on the rear plate. The clicker is very weak to the point it is barely there. There is no markings identifying the reel as a Yale product. I found a picture of a very similar reel that was marked YALE, and the article explained that the tulip cutouts were generally associated with Yale Metal Products, but in another discussion board it was stated ... morethat the tulip cutout pattern was common on stamped reels from about 1910 to 1935 in the New York region and could also be by Rochester or Union City(competitors of Yale) It measures 2-5/8" diameter. 3-9/16" deep including the handle, and has a foot measuring 2-1/2" long by 5/8" wide. The only markings I can find on this chin rest is the word patent and the design on the edge of the wood. I believe the wood is ebony and the metals is nickel and brass. This is a vintage metal horse head mounted on a wooden plaque that is signed"Made in Denmark" on the back. The horse is made of a non-magnetic metal. It has some gold in it. Especially on the ears and nose, as if it was painted with gold paint and some is now wearing off. I have for auction this stunning and most unusual original Art Deco french chandelier. C1920s. I have never seen anything quite like it before. It really SHOUT S ART DECO. It was found in a house clearance here in the S outh of France. The main frame. Chain and original ceiling rose look to me to be made of nickel plated metal, much used in the Art Deco period. The new finish to look like silver but would not tarnish, the chandelier is adorned in long glass tubes and beautiful bright emerald green drops, there are approx 5 glass tubes missing or broken, please see all 12 photo's, this is hardly noticeable and the chandelier is basically commensurate with it's age, it simply emphasizes this is an original Art Deco chandelier and NOT a reproduction. I adore the shape of the chandelier, it is like a huge star, very unusual and it will ... morelook stunning in any Art Deco interior and I am sure it will be much admired. This group of 5 vintage utilitarian sewing thimbles are all metal in a couple of sizes. The aluminum thimble with 3 narrow bands of fine ribs and the thimble advertising Prudential Life Insurance are not marked with the size. But are the smallest measuring 5/8” diameter inside. The brass thimble has a narrow decorative band of fans around the opening and is marked size‘11’ The tallest thimble is also marked size‘11’ and has a decorative‘dot in circle’ band around the opening. The plain thimble marked“ENGLAND 2” actually has the same size diameter opening as the 11’s. The Prudential thimble has some dents and the one from England has some corrosion inside. Signed around the neck with calligraphy symbols(possibly a story) as shown in the photo. The fine Chinese Brush Pot was made of a Bronze patinated white metal I believe could be Nickel. The white metal does not hold a magnet. The metal was carved/pressed with dragons and other Chinese figures. The handles are hollow tube like handles. This is a very old but rebuilt metal Bb clarinet(Jazz horn) most of the keys have lost it's luster they are dull but there are no dings or dents it is very old with a very old case someone rebuilt n restored this resently all the pads are new and corks have been changed So this is a pretty good deal even if the mouthpiece is a piece of junk and the case is to old the rest of this horn is worth the buy I personally DO NOT restore any of these old metal horns they are just to much work and I would charge twice the asking price of this one to restore one if I did, We played this and it does play well however. I personally would recommend a higher grade mouthpiece like a B-45 or a Hawkins something to open it up more. This horn is clean inside and out.
