Up for sale is a Sioux 1/2 inch drive Model 5000 impact wrench. Sioux is a division of Snap On and these are virtually the same impact as the AT123 and IR231. Snap On -Torque Tested - 1/2 in dr MG725 - Very Clean - Air Impact Wrench 2012
Up for sale is a 2012 model Snap On Impact Wrench. 1/2 inch drive. MG725. Arguably the best 1/2 impact on the market today! Torque tested. Good strength. They claim 810 ft pounds in reverse. With a much higher bolt breakaway torque of 1180 ft pds. I can't test that high as the 1/2 impact setup goes to 700 ft pds but I can tell you there is no equal as far as a 1/2 inch impact goes by my experience. And I've tested almost all of them. They just don't break! Steel wear plates. A solid magnesium body, the list just goes on. As with all of Snap On's newer impacts it is much stronger in reverse than forward! USA MADE. Chicago Pneumatic CP6500 RSR Air Impact Wrench -TESTED WELL-1/2 dr Good BBT!
Here we have a multiple listing of CP6500 RSR's. This is a excellent impact. Strong and extremely durable. Tried on the torque tester it ripped nuts off that were torqued to 600 ft pds! I have primed these and given them 2 coats of paint. I doubt it is as good as the factory finish but they should hold up well. Look really nice now. Nice rubber like grips for comfort. Especially in the cold weather. True one hand forward reverse switch. 4 adjustments in forward. There are pictures of both here. Note the chip in the handle end on the second one. Ingersoll Rand Torque Tested 1/2 dr IR244 Impact Wrench - Super Duty
Up for sale is a Ingersoll Rand 1/2 inch drive IR244 impact wrench. This model is about as tough as they get. Even the air fins are thicker and 12.00 more than a 231. Hard hitting twin hammers that just Don't seem to wear out. Strong in both forward and reverse although strongest in reverse as it should be. I test all my 244's to 500 in forward and 650 in reverse. I put in a new anvil as it had the 7/16 industrial one in it. Also changed the Torque selector O rings. as there was starting to show signs of wear. if you want pretty then look around. But if you want a strong impact that will last for many years to come, you have found it!
