The differential on this is about 15:1 and the mechanical advantage is double that so 30:1. To lift 1000 lbs you need to pull with about 33 lbs of force. To get an inch of lift. You need to pull about 30 inches of chain. Shows less than normal signs of age and use(it has a little rust. But, nothing damaging) Stored in a"clean" and dry storage bin. Used infrequently in residential construction to set beams and pulled more than a few engines from trucks and cars. The best things about this Hoist is SAFETY. TRUST and ease of use. Smooth operation and a lifting monster with super precision control. Seriously. When we wanted to lift or set 1/4inch we didn't have to tappity tap back and forth on electric controls like the ones on cheap-as-junk electric cable hoists. Catch my meaning? Comes with over 19 feet of chain. The pulley hoists measure approx 11 1/2" from hook to bottom of pulley and the wheels are approx. 5 1/2" in diameter. The double wheel pulley is marked Wright Manufacturing Co. York. PA U.S.A. Differential Block 1/2 Ton. the single wheel pulley is marked Wright Manufacturing Co. Bridgeport. Conn. Vintage Chisholm Moore Cyclone Chain Hoist. Model: DP rated at 1 ton. Very heavy duty manufactured in Cleveland. Ohio. Date cast on the hoist is 1910 with a patent date of 1920. Very good condition(obviously I have not used any cleaning solvents/wire brush/etc. Also included is the I-beam 4-roller shuttle. I WILL SHIP THIS ITEM but it is heavy.
