DRH Johnson Crane Snatch Block (and tackle?) 6-1/2" Pulley 1" Rope Line 10 ton?
Up for auction is this vintage snatch block. I can make out DRH Johnson on it but nothing else. I found it in a garage I bought. It was mounted to an I-beam overhead and had a sign saying"Max. Safe Operating Capacity 10 Tons(20.000 lbs. I don't know if that is the actual rating of this piece though. I would have to assume that the rig would be labeled for the weakest component so I would also assume that this is 10 tons or more. It's about 19" from tip of the hook to the bottom of the pulley. The pulley as about 6-1/2 inches in diameter and looks like it had a 1" diameter cable. It's a little filthy and has some surface rust but the hook swivels and the pulley rotates freely. Please note: Item will be partially disassembled in order to fit in a flat rate priority box in order to save you money as well as reach you ... morein a lot less time. No reserve so bid to win! I got this loose and do not know what it is. It is made of aluminum. I think. It has a plastic covering on the wheel part that makes it seem like it was made for rope instead of metal cable. Stamped on the pulley is MPS 304-3400-013 MPS TVS1 MP8 4.5-3 3043400004 MPS 3000 LBS SWL. If anyone could tell me what this is for, I would appreciate it. It is used, but works fine and seems to be a very high quality piece. Has some pink paint on it. Has a little bit of surface rust on the pin. Nice used part.
