Up for auction is this vintage snatch block. I can make out DRH Johnson on it but nothing else. I found it in a garage I bought. It was mounted to an I-beam overhead and had a sign saying"Max. Safe Operating Capacity 10 Tons(20.000 lbs. I don't know if that is the actual rating of this piece though. I would have to assume that the rig would be labeled for the weakest component so I would also assume that this is 10 tons or more. It's about 19" from tip of the hook to the bottom of the pulley. The pulley as about 6-1/2 inches in diameter and looks like it had a 1" diameter cable. It's a little filthy and has some surface rust but the hook swivels and the pulley rotates freely. Please note: Item will be partially disassembled in order to fit in a flat rate priority box in order to save you money as well as reach you ... morein a lot less time. No reserve so bid to win! This crane is made by Gorbel of New York. It is 14 feet tall. 8 feet front to back, and inside width of about 15 feet. The crane has a 1 ton capacity rating and is equipped with heavy duty casters. I have it disassembled for transport. It is in three pieces. left and right uprights, and cross beam. Also includes a Budgit 1/2 ton 115v electric hoist. Runs smooth and quiet. You must pick up. THIS IS NOT A HOMEMADE UNIT IT IS A FACTORY MADE VERY INDUSTRIAL TYPE UNIT. The crane is the big blue thing in the pic. The metal rack in the middle is not part of it.

Rolling Gantry Crane With 1-ton Chain Hoist
Up for bid is this rolling gantry crane with a 1-ton chain hoist. It is approximately 19 feet wide caster to caster. 13 1/2 feet high to the bottom of the trolley and 102" deep caster to caster. It is mounted on 4-12 inch swiveling casters and comes with a second trolley on the beam. The chain hoist works smoothly. it is an older one and probably has more than 1 ton capacity. It is not a cheapie China made) The uprights are made of angle iron and the cross bar is I-type beam. It was shop built by my uncle and used for repairing farm tractors and other equipment.
