DRH Johnson Crane Snatch Block (and tackle?) 6-1/2" Pulley 1" Rope Line 10 ton?
Up for auction is this vintage snatch block. I can make out DRH Johnson on it but nothing else. I found it in a garage I bought. It was mounted to an I-beam overhead and had a sign saying"Max. Safe Operating Capacity 10 Tons(20.000 lbs. I don't know if that is the actual rating of this piece though. I would have to assume that the rig would be labeled for the weakest component so I would also assume that this is 10 tons or more. It's about 19" from tip of the hook to the bottom of the pulley. The pulley as about 6-1/2 inches in diameter and looks like it had a 1" diameter cable. It's a little filthy and has some surface rust but the hook swivels and the pulley rotates freely. Please note: Item will be partially disassembled in order to fit in a flat rate priority box in order to save you money as well as reach you ... morein a lot less time. No reserve so bid to win! Comes with over 19 feet of chain. The pulley hoists measure approx 11 1/2" from hook to bottom of pulley and the wheels are approx. 5 1/2" in diameter. The double wheel pulley is marked Wright Manufacturing Co. York. PA U.S.A. Differential Block 1/2 Ton. the single wheel pulley is marked Wright Manufacturing Co. Bridgeport. Conn. I got this hoist from an estate sale and have never personally used it. I spun the pulley and the chain moved very slowly. Other than that I haven't done any testing on it so I'm selling it as untested. It may or may not work like its supposed to. Its hard to read the writing on it but it looks like it says 1/2 Ton.
