Thanks for looking at this auction. This 1/2 ton electric chain hoist is in good condition. I hooked it up and made a small video of it running up/down. I would prefer local pickup but I will ship to the lower 48 states in USA only. This hoist runs fine. It has been brought to my attention that the control pendant doesn't match the same age as the motor. This looks as though the pickle style controller has been replaced at some point. This control pendant control wiring is the 4 wire(up/dn/power/ground) type that is used in the newer motors. The wiring diagram on the inside has a date code of 1994. The contactor has 1997 on it. I would say this motor is at least 1997, maybe slightly newer. The contactor is the type that allows the motor to work inverted, I.E- like they do in the entertainment industry for lifting lighting and speakers ... moreclusters. This motor could easily be modified with new chain(65ft) and new pigtail and be used for this purpose. I added a new picture to show the contactor. It is an'end' view. Load chain length to bottom of hook is approximtely 10' Up/Down pull chains are 44" long each and easy to change. An inspection tag shows monthly third party inspections until it's removal in May 2013, at which time the hoist and an available Gorbel Workstation bridge crane were removed because of a change of use to their area. Excellent performance as it raises and lowers a significant load. The hoist also held the load while in a stopped suspended position.
