Hand crafted spurs Tooled leather Made by Maker Leo Vogt P 730-L
I don't think these are all that old. But I am not sure about that. They have been well used. I can't make out the Maker name for sure either, but I think Vogt is right. Note in picture#3, there are missing"rivets" or metal decorative inserts. I also think one might be missing in picture#5. Those two matching ends on each spur are not the same. That one is rounded and the other one is more pointy, so it has one more metal piece than the other one. I believe the size on these is Large.

NO RESERVE* Up for a LOW STARTING* NO RESERVE auction is a 1920's Meeker Made leather purse with the Eastern Star symbol and a Art Nouveau design hand tooled on the front. Purse is in very nice condition for a leather item that is 85- 90 years old. It has been stored away for many years. The leather shown light wear at the bottom corners, has some darkened areas from use/storage and dark rub areas on the sides where when closed the metal frame touches the sides. There is a small area on the handle with missing lace, shown in photo# 17. Again, being 85- 90 years old I doubt this purse is not going to stand up to a lot of use, I see it as a very unique display item. The metal frame has light surface rust. The Turnloc knob(give it a half turn and it locks the purse) has surface rust. The interior suede like lining has some light soil and ... morea tear about 3/4" long. The latch on the top center of the purse is working as it should. There is no bad odor. Interior of the purse is embossed"Meeker Made" above one of the pockets and still has the"Meeker Made" cardboard tag. Western pleasure trail saddle dark oil floral tooled
Western pleasure saddle with floral tooling. This saddle was refurbished by the local saddle repair man. He said this saddle is strong stable ride. He reports no problems with it after going through each detail of the saddle. It is in great condition. And a real beauty. There are a couple cracks/flaws in the leather. One place on the left fender and another up near the horn. Seat is in great condition but on one side there is a stitch missing only noticeable on close inspection. All of the above flaws are in pictures so be sure to look at each picture carefully before bidding. I mention all of these flaws because I do not want there to be surprises and it is important that the winning bidder love this saddle. The skirt measures 25" The seat is 15.5" the gullet is about 8" to the best of my measuring ability. The leather bound ... morestirrups are 4" wide. The underside/padding is in good used condition. The padding is worn flat but not thinned. It does have a bit of a whole at the back center of pad. This saddle is useable as is. Tooled leather Western saddle that is unmarked except for the serial numbers. It has a 15 inch brown suede leather seat measuring from below the horn straight back to the end of the seat before the cantle as pictured. Saddle is made of nicely tooled floral and leaf tooled leather. The numbers: 08-408 584-43886 are tooled into the left stirrup leather. These are most likely Tex Tan serial numbers. But the Hereford Tex Tan logo is not on the fenders as usual. Saddle is constructed with the same quality and skill as Tex Tan saddles. Antique Tooled Custom Western Saddle Made by M.A. Gamez ca. 1920's NO RSRV
The item that you are viewing is an antique Tooled Western Saddle made by M.A. Gamez of Ensenada circa 1920. The saddle is in excellent condition and is most certainly the piece for conversation. We know that this saddle was made prior to 1930 due to the gait of the underside. It is more in a steeple shape than in your contemporary rounded format. Horses prior to 1930 were bred much smaller. It is not a child's saddle as you can see the stirrup length is that for an adult. The cantle is much higher also symbolic of that time period. I am in now ways a tack professional thus I am sure that I am not sharing in new information with you. Here for auction is a set of saddlebags(one piece) made of heavyduty bullhide leather with a golden brown finish. These bags measure 15" x 12" and are joined in the center by another piece of leather making the total length 45" The center section with the silver decorations is 6" wide in the middle and sewn securely. The bags are almost 3" deep at the bottom. The fold-over flaps close with leather straps and buckles. As do the straps for attachment to the saddle. The insdie is what we used to call"split-leather" see photos#9& 10. The leather is decorated with an Eagle with wings and tlons extended. The flap is decorated with Rocky Mountain sheep. 1930's(?) Vintage Tooled Leather Notebook / Calendar Folder, Weary & Alford Co.
For sale is a vintage leather notebook or calendar flip cover carrier. With the name Weary and Alford Company, Bank and Office Buildings, Chicago, embossed on the inside cover in gold lettering. The pattern on the cover is raised, and hopefully you can see the pattern in the first photo. The second photo shows the carrier with the cover opened. The names Weary and Alford are on the top section, and below that is a clear vinyl( slip pouch, for slipping in the top of a notebook or calendar. The other half is leather, also, but hard enough for a writing surface. The close-up photo of that is the 4th photo. The last two photos are of the bottom side, with the carrier opened. The last photo is a close-up, and you can see some scuffs and staining, though not serious for its age. There was no calendar or notepad in the carrier for me to determine ... morethe exact age. Vintage Tooled leather Belt w Sterling Silver Buckle Keeper Tip 34-36"
Beautiful tooled leather belt measures 34" for wear but can be made larger by adding one or two more punch holes in the belt. In other words. The belt is 35 1/2" in length. Belt measures 1 1/4" and the ends are 3/4" at each end. The leather is in very good condition for vintage but does have an area on the tab end where it has rubbed from use. The leather does not have rot BUT NEEDS TO BE OILED desperately and should probably be reglazed to keep this belt in top condition. There is also some darkening on the leather at the tip. Seriously NICE work! The Sterling buckle. Tip and keeper are all in excellent condition with a very heavy oxidation or patina. NO damage. The buckle measures approximately 2" wide x just under 2" height. The total weight is probably close to 30 grams but I will not take the tip off to ... moreweigh this. The hall mark reads MPHM in a small six sided stamp. It is also marked Sterling and Mexico. EXCELLENT tooling on the buckle as well as the leather belt.
