It has a 15 inch padded and stitched brown leather seat measuring from the base of the horn straight back to the end of the leather seat before the beginning of the cantle as pictured. If you measure the seat like they did when this saddle was made. You get a 15 and 1/2 inch seat which was a large saddle back then. I would say that this Simco saddle was made in the late 1950's or 1960's. An older Simco emblem is located on the skirt behind the seat with"MADE BY" above. SIMCO" in the middle, and"ESTABLISHED 1933" below in an oval which is pictured. B" and"250" are tooled above the oval. All pictured. 1887 Holman Family Holy Bible W Concordance Leather Hand Tooled Gold Leaf
This original 1887 Holman Holy Bible with Concordance is very large with hand a hand tooled cover on both sides and binding. It is 10 x 12 1/2 x 3 1/2" thick with gold leaf on all 3 edges. The whole cover and binding are beautiful. The first section before the bible is a dictionary with contents of 150 pages full of beautiful engravings. Some in color with gold leaf embellishments. The engr4avings continue through the parallel pages of the bible. Many are full-page. The family section of the bible is all in gold leaf and engravings and the marriages. Births, and deaths have not been filled out. The binding is very tight and a few pages have slight browning and foxing. Shipping weight is 12 pounds and it will be mailed in a medium flat rate box very carefully packed.

It isn't marked sterling anywhere but it certainly looks like sterling silver. It has fine detailed hand work. The roping around the crown and outer edge is very detailed and well done. The eagle and snake and"MEXICO" is as fine and lovely as any I have seen. Also has the number 8. The crown is about 3 in. tall. I'm not sure what these big sombreros were used for. It would make a great catch all for jewelry. Please examine the photos carefully. Miniature Spanish Vargueno, Tooled Leather and Carved Wood, Jewel Box 6 drawers
Miniature vargueno covered with intricately tooled leather. Painted and gilded. Front opens to reveal 6 drawers, their fronts also covered in tooled leather, and their interiors lined with satin. These are arranged around a central open compartment, just as you would find in a full scale writing desk. The vargueno rests upon a detailed wooden stand with crisp baluster turnings and tiny lopers splendidly carved with grotesque masks. Fitted out with hand wrought iron hardware. The wooden construction of the cabinet(under the leather) is partly solid, some with decorative veneer, and partly plywood, which would probably date the piece to the 20th century. 10 7/8 inches high. 7 7/8 inches wide. 4 3/4 inches high. Condition: as found. The vargueno is no longer glued to its stand- I thought it might be best to leave it that way(easier to pack. ... moreAnd the buyer can either use it that way or reglue it as desired) The hasp is missing. See photo. It doesn't look bad without it, and the drop front stays closed because it fits a little tight. Of course that means it is also a bit hard to open. One could perhaps tie a string or thread with a little tassel to the lock plate to handle it with. The key is lost. The once-red satin behind the wrought iron mounts(which would have looked like the drawer linings) is almost completely faded out. Both the leather and the wood are in very nice condition. As are the drawer linings. The painted decoration on the leather is undoubtedly somewhat faded, but still vibrant in its colors.

Item Description SEE PICTURES This auction is for a Copper box made by a group of Northwest Coast Indians who call themselves"The Whale People" They are Haida. Kwakiutl, Tsimshian, Carrier and Salish people. Copper was a traditional means of currency exchange among the Northwest Coast Indian People. At Potlach ceremonies, the host chief would divide a copper sheet, giving the largest portions to the most important visiting chiefs. The boxes are traditional storage units for food, ceremonial masks and artifacts. They are decorated with symbols representing animals. These symbols are often fragmented and then regrouped as to form a whole. They usually recall ancient legends and social taboos. THE ITEM's DESCRIPTION: This exquisitely detailed vintage mid 20th century hand-tooled embossed copper box measures approximately 6 1/4" ... moreX 4 1/4" by about 4" high. The box has an approximate weight of 660 grams or 23.2 oz. The overall vintage condition is very good to excellent with some very small areas showing green age oxidation. Northwest Coast Haida copper boxes are all handmade and has a variety of animal figures revered by the Haida. The top& sides of the box are decorated with traditional symbols including a Beaver. Sun on both ends. The box is all original and has not been cleaned and has its original age related patina. Incredible workmanship, skill and motifs make this truly unique. Here is one fabulous Victorian turn-of-the-century dresser set in perfect original condition. The top of the case has exquisite and detailed leather tooling of a hunt scene with two hunters on horseback spearing their kill while their dogs assist to take the deer down. The underside of the set has four chrome or silver-plated metal feet on each corner. The inside of the set is made of blue satin and is in excellent condition. The dressing set accessories inside have mother-of-pearl handles and are in perfect original condition. The vintage photo inside is that of a Victorian-era baby. Vintage original hand-tooled leather case for 1904 Martin 0-size guitar
This was the original case that came with a 1904 Martin 0-21 that I bought from a guy in Florida a long while ago. The case and guitar supposedly traveled with Teddy Roosevelt and the Rough Riders. But there's no proof of that. The guy who had inherited the guitar was a bit of a dim bulb and proceeded to wrap the case in packing tape before sending it to me. The finish on the leather was messed up by the tape. This style case was called a"bottom dumper" and rightly so in this case. Since there is no clip or belt to secure the closure flap. If you want a nice souvenir of the time. They don't make anything like this any more. If you are a leather repair person, you may be able to bring this back to usable condition. The leather is in decent physical condition, fairly robust and the leather has plenty of stiffness to hold its ... moreshape. Many of the seams are strong, others have the stitching blown out. There is something of a more distressed, almost burned patch near the top where the headstock would be, I don't know what this is. Teddy's cigar causing havoc? Doubtful, but you can make up your own story. If you are a Martin buff, well, this is a pretty cool find. This is sold As-is. The closure flap has no hardware to mate to the existing latch(that must have been on the"belt" that held the flap in and is no longer there) There is no handle. The interior is in nice shape. Hand Tooled Paisley Leather Covered Tele Body Neck and Strap
This started out as an old Saga Kit from aroun 2005. It was once painted blue but now it has been covered in leather. The body is basswood. But with the leather it weighs 6.8 lbs(bathroom scale) I also installed the metal plate that was for a saddle. My wife found this leather in Austin TX at an antique shop. I had a leatherwork artist(did my"Waylon" Tele) do the work. The body is hand stitched around the edges. As you can see, leather that would be used for a saddle was sewn to the back and sides. The neck is a little beat up on the backside of the neck. But I was going to sand it down for the"relic look" It was painted in nitro so sanding should be easy. The paisley leather was glued to the front and back of the headstock. It is a typical C Shaped neck with what I believe is a 9.5 radius. The frets are good and the truss ... morerod works fine. The strap is paisley on one side and leather on the other. Sewn on a machine. It is adjustable by the belt buckle. Please ask all questions before bidding. This is a non returnable item.

Antique Hand Tooled Leather Belt Pouch Ammo-Rustic Primitive 6" x 6" x 2" Beautiful example of hand tooled leather work that I suspect didn't see much battle though you never can tell. I got this with a fraternal marching/military sash that could date from at least 1880 from the photos I have found. I think this may be older. Possibly much older. The design is nature influenced with flowers and birds and a basket weave pattern certainly pre dating Art Nouveau-they're symmetrical patterns arranged in a symmetrical order-rustic simplicity typical of early to mid 19th century motifs like Pennsylvania Dutch. Nothing on this bag required any machines and it appears to be completely hand made. Condition Notes: Remarkable conditions with a couple of holes where it looks like something used to be inserted.Light scratches and ... moresome fraying beginning on top. Sides. The leather is stiff as would be expected but shows no cracking and the bag can be open and closed without damaging the leather. But it appears to be very old and is in very good condition. It does show a few scratches/nicks in the leather one would expect to see in an aged leather item. This auction is for a pair of WWII era wooden Dutch/European shoes. The shoes have carving on the toes and a tooled leather at the top. The left shoe has a name signed on the bottom that starts with an"M" But I can't make it out, and a date of 10/8/44. It also looks like something else is written on the bottom starting with a"J" please see photos) They show signs of age with a small age crack on the bottom of the left shoe near the toe and some cracking to the leather on the right shoe. Pre-owned vintage tooled leather'I Love My Uke' keychain with a small snap pocket. I assume the tiny pocket might be for a pick. One side of the keychain has a ukelele and the other has'I(picture of a heart) My Uke' Total length with the key ring included is about 4 7/8" Just the leather part is about 3 7/8" long and 2 1/4" across the widest area. Not sure if the braiding material around the keychain is leather or not. CONDITION: I don't know what odors the leather may have been exposed to over the years. I don't smell anything out of the ordinary but a more sensitive sense of smell might pick up something I didn't. There are some little spots of wear and/or marks on the leather. You don't see many of these around and its very rare to have the matched bottleholders with it. I like it but don't have room for it anymore. Chair is old and has some small signs of wear but is in very good condition. Leather is in nice shape as are the legs. I'm not sure what the bottleholders are made of but I presume its leather too. I have two extra ones I will throw in that have been repaired using white plastic cord instead of the leather straps used on the others. So there will be a total of 6 bottleholders.
