This is the fuel pump from an Onan diesel engine from an Onan RDJC generator set. As far as I can tell. It is an undamaged, used, working and serviceable part. It has been parted out of an Onan Diesel engine from an Onan RDJC generator set. The engine only had 620hrs of use(what was on the hr meter when I parted the engine out) I was told that the fuel injector pump was bad and the reason the engine quit running(bought genset for value of generator end) I decided to part out the engine for the folks out there that are still operating these amazing(but dated) engines and need parts for them. Offered here is an injection pump for an MEP-002A 5 kw military generator. The MEP-002A is equipped with the even-firing Onan DJE 2 cylinder engine. Note: this pump WILL NOT work on odd-firing versions of the Onan DJ engine series. This injection pump was removed from a running engine that suffered an internal failure. It is in"as-removed" condition. There is no damage or serious corrosion and the pump has not been disassembled. Hacked up or butchered in any way. JDD, Onan parts, Fuel Pump 149-1828, From 6.5 NH, Spec. K
This item was removed from an Onan 6.5 NH-3CR/16004K. SN E783358227. The machine was started, but quickly shut down as sparks flew from a shorted generator head. Other items salvaged from this genset are or will be listed, search JDD to find those listings.The pump runs, but I can't state that it actually pumps, since the engine was started by using starting fluid. It smells of rancid gasoline and needs a good cleaning. It is what it is and is sold as is. I believe it is a good pump, but no guarantees.
