Vintage tooled leather fireman's helmet up for auction. Helmet has a face shield. Please note some spots on shield in the pictures. I purposely did not try to wash or clean off any spots on shield or helmet so I can pass it on to a new buyer just as I received it. Not sure if spots on shield are fire-related. Tag typically found in interior has been worn off from use but based on what I can see of the label, I think this is a size Medium. Beautiful leather tooling and helmet is in overall good condition for age. Vintage Hand Tooled Leather Handbag w/Unusual Features--Mono B--Aztec Calendar
I am listing this antique/vintage handtooled leather purse for a neighbor who is in her fifties. She found it in her elderly mother's cedar chest after her death and has no idea where it came from. As far as she knew her parents never made any trips out West- so it could very well be older than I am guessing and belonged to her grandparents. I am listing it under a Mexico category because of the Aztec calendar that is tooled onto the flap- BUT the native americans living close to the border in the Southwest also used the symbols I'm seeing on this so you will have to decide or perhaps you will know. That is all the history I have on it. It is an elaborately structured small handbag with many details that I have not seen in other tooled leather purses. I will simply describe for you and hope that my pictures will fill in any blanks ... moreI might leave. It is rather small measuring 8" tall and then 9" wide across the bottom tapering down to 8" across the top. There are semi-circular leather handles that rise above the top and if measured with these. The top to bottom measurement is 10 1/4" It measures 1 1/2" deep at the bottom and the soft, thin leather inserts between the front and back are gored to help it expand to 6" wide at the top. The interior has a center pocket with an old brass metal zipper(works fine) and then on one side there are two pockets- one holds a little coin purse measuring 2X3" which is tooled and snaps shut and the other holds a leather case. Also 2X3" and hand tooled, which probably was designed to hold dollar bills but it could also hold cards(a little too small for credit cards tho) etc- it is that size. It is designed to zip shut at the top but the cloth edging holding the brass zipper has come loose because the fabric is very fragile.the zipper still works tho, so if you wanted you could probably reattach it rather than replace it- however, the purse could be used without the zipper if you wanted. my last picture shows the zipper both from the in

This is a nice lightweight pleasure or trail saddle. All leather construction, ralide tree(patented) It has a suede seat which does show some light soiling, but I think will clean up well. The leather on the horn is slightly loose, but the structure of the horn is very solid underneath. The leather covering the horn moves maybe 1/16th of an inch when twisted, and I do not see this as a problem. There are signs of use on the saddle, and a little wear, but its overall condition is good. The saddle has a very attractive pattern. And it is still quite distinct. The stirrups themselves are fiberglass, or other type of material. The stirrups adjust by means of a double prong buckle. It shows some rust, but is fully functional. The stirrup leathers themselves are pliable and supple, but do show light surface cracking throughout. The seat. Vintage S D Myres Tooled Holster & Ammo Belt, El Paso Texas
Really cool. Tough looking"jock strap" holster and belt. I think it was for a single action Colt. Heavily tooled leather with great patina. The holster itself is 8" top to bottom, looks like a 5 1/2" barrel would fit. It does show it's age and wear. Needs to be oiled. A couple of the shell holders are broken. The back part of the holster needs repair to the stitching on the edge, but overall looks good. Lots of photos follow.

This auction is for a very nice pair of dark oil tooled leather stirrups off a CIRCLE Y roping saddle. In excellent used condition, as they were removed and replaced with slanted ropers. Stirrups measure 3" at the neck(please measure before bidding) 8 3/8" top to bottom on the outside, 5.75" top to bottom center on the inside and 5.25" inside across the bow. Stirrups are 1 7/8" wide on the outside at the top and 3.5" wide, outside at the bottom with 3.75" wide leather foot tread. Very nice made, fancy roping stirrups. A few light rubs is all. Vintage Travel Suitcase. 24"x16"x8" Locking clasp. Zipper is great. all latches and belt loop are in very good condition. This is really a nice bag that was produced by hand in Mexico and sold as a tourist item. These bags are becoming hard to find in this condition of this size. I recovered this suitcase from a flooded closet. It was only damp on about 15% of the bag, and was only damp for and hour or so. Bag was professionally dried by a Martinizer. Bag never grew mildew and only smells a little like an older couples closet. This bag was purchased in the Colima area of Central Mexico by a couple that used it to get extra items home. And then it was never used again. This bag sat in storage for 40 yrs+. There are just a few small scuffs that appear when the bag need conditioning, otherwise it is beautiful. Outstanding Antique Western Pony Saddle ~ Hand Tooled Leather ~ Prop ~ Great item to Repurpose. This little pony saddle has certainly seen some use and is not in pristine condition. The age is unknown to me as is the maker as I can not find a makers mark anywhere. The all over hand leather tooling on this saddle is simply beautiful. There are a few Rivet heads missing and the wool has certainly seen better days but that is the worst of it. The Tree is in solid condition. From the front of the saddle in front of the Brass horn to the seat back measures 16" straight across.
