Vintage, Old Used Decter Sitting Mannequin
This sitting Decter mannequin from the 60's. Came from a vintage clothing store that was closing down, years ago. The store owner had three of these sitters, and he used to refinish his own mannequins, he most likely did this one too. She is a junior model, and is in good shape. She has painted features, eyelashes, and parted lips with teeth showing. The way her hands are, she can hold flowers, a purse, or other items. She comes apart at the arms, hands, waist and one leg. Easy to dress with no rod to get in the way! Arms go on and off easily. Nice compact size. Her hands are in excellent shape with no cracks or breaks. Vintage 1960's Seated Decter Girl Mannequin
This is a great and fairly rare vintage 1960's seated Decter girl mannequin from their Profile Kids collection. This mannequin is the size and age of an 8 year old girl and she has a smiling. Happy expression on her face which is a signature Decter look of the era. All of her parts are genuine Decter vintage parts however her arms are not what the original pose looked like however I think the arm and hand positions work well on this mannequin and they create a very natural looking pose. The mannequin is in excellent condition with no damage. Her face painting is all original 1960's Decter but her body was partially repainted in the exact matching Decter skin color. Because she was used in a exhibit and required some minor repairs and touch up since the mannequin is about 45 years old. I believe this mannequin probably dates from around ... more1966-67 because she originally came from a JC Penney store and this was the time when they were using these Decter mannequins in their stores. The seated height of the mannequin is 31" and measuring from her seat to her toes. She is 27" long. She wears a size 7/8 or a girls medium and a size 11 to 12 shoe. The wig shown in the auction photos will be included with the mannequin. I have it styled in ponytails but the ponytails can be taken out so it can also be worn down- the wig is shoulder length. Vintage Pair of Girls 1960's Decter Child Mannequins Free Shipping
This rare pair of young girls are in good condition even though they are about 50 years old. Prior to my ownership they have had some repairs. Two fingers have been replaced. Each on a different hand. One shoulder repair to fix a hole. Boths heads have had patchwork to top and back( under wigs) The repairs are not perfect but well done, hiden from normal view. Vintage Decter Child Mannequin 40" with Stand Decter Perfect Face
Great little mannequin with a very pretty face. She is 40" tall and does have scuff and dings with one mismatched and one missing hand. She appears to be made of a paper pulp like material under the paint and plaster. She also seems a bit heavier than the standard fiberglass models. She does come with the glass stand she is pictured on. This little gal needs a higher purpose than my kids using it to scare each other. The wig is included yet the wig might be messy now as it has been in a box inside a garage for some time. Clothes are not included. Vintage 1960's Decter Female Mannequin - Original Pose
This is a vintage Decter mannequin from their Profile Juniors collection dating from around 1967 to 1968. This mannequin has all the original parts and she is unique because it is getting very difficult to find a vintage mannequin that is almost 50 years old with all its original pieces. She has the classic Decter open mouth with teeth which was their signature look from that period and although Decter didn't say who they used as a model to sculpt their mannequins back then. I think this mannequin is sculpted in the image of popular 1960's junior model, Colleen Corby. This mannequin was used in a costume exhibit so areas of her body were refinished with paint that was custom matched to the original skin color and the mannequin has no body damage whatsoever. Her face painting and make-up however is the original 1960's Decter finish ... morebecause it was preserved to keep the iconic Decter look since the mannequin was used to exhibit vintage 1960's era clothing. This mannequin originally came from a JC Penney store and I believe she was used in their intimates department because her skin is a lighter tone with a slight pinkish cast. Which was what the JC Penney used on their intimates mannequins back in the 1960's. Her measurements are also slightly larger which again is an indication that she was used for intimates/lingerie. The mannequin is 69" tall, her measurements are 34" bust, 24" waist and 35" hips, she wear a size 6 dress, size 7 to 7 1/2 shoe with a 2 1/2" heel height. The vintage Decter glass base and butt rod shown in the auction photos will be sold with the mannequin. The clothing, accessories, shoes and wigs are not included with the mannequin.
